Bottom line is the moderator shouldn't threaten bans because someone disagrees with if a post is spam, or an actual person who used the product. Merely tell the person it's suspected spam and case closed. Don't threaten a ban unless they change their "tude". I could care less about the Pittman poster, as I think it was BS, but for the guy who spoke up who disagreed? Nobody thinks that is a shred inappropriate to ban him?
You do realize how old this thread is right?

Besides, this IS DavidB's forum. Its his rules. If you don't like it there's other forums you can post on.

What does it matter how old the thread is?

Since this IS David's forum and his rules, I guess he should rethink his signature from...

to "my way or the highway"

That's exactly how he acted in this thread, and that's a fact.

That is true of any forum. The owner of the site (who has a responsibility to paid advertisers as well as forum members) gets to make and enforce the rules as they see fit.

Re: Pittman's VaporWax! (warning)

Funny thread. It must hold a record for most banned users posting. Pretty funny that the guy who was blasting someone else for spamming got banned for...spamming. Hold on--I see one more coming.

After all of the hard work that David B. has put into autopia, and after what he has done for detailing in general (which for some has lead to nice bank accounts for all of their hard work and exposure), the poor guy is probably at home banging his head on his monitor for having to deal with stuff like this. It's like family court here sometimes.

Mummyman,

If you don't like the forum rules, the administration, the moderators, etc., you are more than welcome to leave Autopia voluntarily; no one is forcing you to visit our forums. If you want to gripe about moderation, or how the forum deals with spammers and shills, take it to PMs.

This is your one and only warning: continue to stir the pot publicly in the forums, and I'll toss you in timeout for a week. You want to complain, feel free to PM me directly.

Tort

He actually changed the images referenced on his site so he could respond on this thread.
