I hear what you mean. You waited so long as you just had to have a sample.

Sunday has to be the day though. You could clay and do a quick buff just to take off the lsps...not necessarily a full blown paint correction (unless you need it), and then try out the Vintage. If you have heavy swirling then you might be looking at a full day or more. But if not I think you can do a quick clay and polish and then a vintage. It'll still have its share of work, but I think you'll get good results all the same, just as long as its a fresh Zymol application. The very first Zymol layer is like tasting fresh spring water......its just really hard to describe the taste!!!

I am really interested to know how you feel about it, plus give us
insight on durability and the type of soap you use for regular maintenance and also
the QD you use for drying if any.

For me it is not the money issue of paying $1800 I would pay it now, but it is the
application and the time needed to invest in the process that is holding me back.

Again I am really interested to know allot about your experience

Application time is what's holding you back? It goes on and comes off easier than Concorso, if that helps.

SAMMEE i am extremely interested in all of the aspects of this product. If i found that it was worth the money ide start saving right now. But if its just a little better then i would rather spend it on something else. Also i have titanium wax and its really hard to apply (the by hand method). I hope im not doing it wrong.

Re: I just ordered Vintage

I'd do a review of Vintage, but it seems like everything that can be said about it has been said. If you guys have any specific questions let me know. Harry, I know you've used Concorso, so I can compare it directly to that.

sweet picus I always told you I appreciate how much data you have input on this product,
the reason why I am asking cal is because he is a regualr user who is going to use
it on his car more than customers.

1- So here is few questions to you, Swissvax Concorso give a great depth of color, look
at this picture of my car; How is vintage going to give me a difference in looks from
those pictures, in other words what would make me say wow now that is different?

Swissvax Concorso;

2-What Qd to use while drying so in that it won't damage the looks or the durability
of Vintage? Do I use Zymol QD? I heard it will streak if used while drying, as it should
be used on a dry car.

3-What car soap would not touch the looks or durability of vintage?

4-Any alternatives to apply it by hand?
the way I do Swissvax-Concorso is worm at first a quarter size amount with my hands
and then apply to a panel and use a foam yellow applicator or the provided by swissvax one "black one with 2 sides" to spread the concorso around for an even coat,
can this be used with vintage?

Thats all I want to know and I think that what most people also want to know who are
interested in vintage besides Accumulator

Edit: ops forgot a last important one, how long will vintage last applied correctly
and QD'ed and washed also correctly?

I am only using this on my cars, not customer cars.

I find Vintage looks more like Mystery and Concorso than Concours and Destiny; weird I know, but that's how I see it. It offers exceptional clarity, like Concorso but even moreso. It does not distort reflections like Concours or Destiny. Of course it darkens color, but no more than other good waxes. What you do get is an intense depth; it's like getting that dynamic look you get from Concours/Destiny and the clarity and depth of Concorso; I find (as stupid as this sounds) that I am always running my eyes over the car finding something new to look at. Of course is it a night and day difference? No, but it's there.

I use Field Glaze or Quick Finish (Swissvax), you can also use Crystal Mist or even Poorboys QW; none of them change the look imo. I prefer Quick Finish overall.

Well any of the zymol/swissvax soap will work, so will p21s soap. That's what I use with it.

Vintage isn't as grainy as Concorso, so yes that will work. I apply by hand, but Vintage can easily be melted then put on a foam pad, even more easily than Concorso.

A long time. On the one customer car I put it on in spring (from my sample), 3 months later it was fully slick, looked the same, cleaned well, beaded the same. I washed with deep crystal then did crystal mist, and it still looked great in September. In September I washed with ONR and used quick finish. We'll see if it makes it through the winter.

On my car I will apply two or three coats over two or three weeks, then wash with p21s via foam gun, and maintain with quick finish. I expect I will not need to put more vintage on for 6 months (though I might! )

Re: I just ordered Vintage

1. I cannot compare it to concourso as i have not used it, however it does deapen the paint. It has what you would expect from a nuba. It addes depth. I have grey paint and it looks miles deep. I wanted to walk into it

2.I dont use a qd while drying however anyone will work. I really like the vw QD, it dosent streak or smear. I have also never used the zymol qd, pehraps il try it one day

3. I will be using onr to wash it, I have used onr with titanium and it has not effected the durabilty.
I also knwo that the zymol clear works well with any zymol wax. They say the montana oil in it adds the shine back to the wax. Almost like a touch up.
ttianum (and vintage appears to be the same) cleans up really well. You almost dont need to use soap. I quick wash with a presure washer seams to get all the bugs and dirt off.
Zymol waxes do not take alot to get clean, I have never experience a wax that is so easy to clean up.

4. I apply it by hand, however i have heard of use an applictor. The guy holds the foam applicator to a halagoen light that he uses for buffing. he then applys the wax to the warm applitor, holds it in front of the light for a few more seconds. He then applys the wax.
I have never done it so dont ask me if it really works

I dont knwo long vintage will last, superbee said it alster over 6 months on his wifes car. So from the sounds of it a while.

Titanium, which is not suppsoted to last as long lasts forever. I have it o a freinds truck. I applied it 5 weeks ago (the truck is washed every 2-3 days) and it is still as strong as day one.

Zymol waxes last forever. some will argue with me on this but I attribute it to the high carnuba content. It seems to really add to the longevity of the wax

it blows titanium out of the water. I have tried both (I have about 1 application left of titanium) and vintage looks better... ok ok, I just put it on today but it looks awsome. Plus I have heard it ages well.

hand application takes some getting used to.i wasted alot of zymol concour, titanium and vc concours applying by hand, after a few application it will get easier.

is vintage worth the money? well im so happy with 1 application I say yeas. I dont car if it lasts 4 weeks and i have to reapply (which i know it wont, i have heard 6months plus) its worth it.
It may not be worth it to someone else. but after trying it im glad I bought it.

Its very similar to zymol concours (not the same but very close). concours does not come with refills but its also a 10th the price. Try concours. If you like it then I would say take the step up to vintage....

ohh yeah, i also know your a young guy so there is plenty of time to get the refills, keep that in mind...

and the best part, you actully get a card for an alligance club.. crazy i know.

ok im not trying to sell you vintage (although it may be miscontrude that way). I say this stuff from past pm's and posts.

but yeah i would say try concours first and see how much you like that
