Re: I just ordered Vintage

It looks like you have a good handle on it. I like your first phrase, as it makes a good testament to your determination. You will need it to get through this issue.

I will definitely take note of this vendor, and make sure that I won't purchase or recommend anyone to them if in fact he's been as crummy as you've said.

We'll get to the bottom of this in time.

Cdodkin is 100% on the mark on this. Although the laws could be different in Canada. Not only can they reverse the charges, if he has enough of these "chargebacks" in his merchant history, they can revoke his ability to charge credit cards.

Just call the number on the back of the card, give them the details of what has occured. They will probably send you some forms to fill out and sign, then when they get them back, they will credit your account with the disputed amount, and deduct that amount from OCD Garage's credit acceptance account.

Re: I just ordered Vintage

how did he mail it, i thought i remember you saying USPS and if so isnt their tracking really bad compared to like FedEx?

i know you are mad its taking a long time, i would be worried too with such a high price item, but customs is really slow, sometimes shipping to there does take that long, maybe its taking longer cause its such a high priced item?

Yes, but it is still trackable. That is, if you *have* the tracking number.

Re: I just ordered Vintage

wow. i haven't read this whole thread, but am amazed at the delay.

i have had to involve my VISA customer service in the past and have always had success. they would immediately credit my account and then go after the vendor.

Quote:
When I e-mailed and asked for a tracking number he said he would check and it would take a day, waited a few days thinking he just got busy. nothing, i e-mailed him again nothing. one moret ime nothing (waiting a few days before)

I then asked for an iquary and a phone call.. not a word.. ever since i asked for a numerb i have heard nothing
IMHO, that information right there would be the end of dealing with the vendor. VISA and the BBB would be involved from that point forward (due to the $$$ involved).

an item of this magnitude should be babied the entire way by the vendor. it is unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous that you would receive no response. he should be kissing your @ss the entire time. him ignoring you only reinvorces that he dropped the ball.

honestly, if it was me, even if i received the item i would return it and give my business to another vendor.

EDIT: as an example...the first time i ordered a Zaino kit (~$110 or something), it was over a week and never showed up. i emailed the company to ask for the status and they investigated and got me answers that same day. no delays in replying. no ignoring me. ended up that UPS had damaged the box and it had leaked. Sal shipped out replacements immediately and i got them in a few days. this was for a $100 order, not $thousands$.

This is why I went Zymol direct. It may take awhile, but I know I will get it. Good luck Mike.

FWIW, chargebacks work the same in Canada as the US.

Re: I just ordered Vintage

I kind of agree with Matrix, as (ok the devil's advocate) if Brett actually mailed it (honestly I think that people that try to scam over the Internet or anywhere else with the credit card are real morons....some are very slick and get away with it, but are morons all the same) then it could honestly be in customs.

However, I am siding with Mike, because this Brett was less than courteous by reacting slowly and/or not at all. He should've had his sleeves all rolled up and busting his elbows to make sure that Mike would get his wax; or at the very least give him an honest explanation as to where the wax is.

Let Mike start putting some heat on his @$$ with his card company; I'll bet he'll get some good answers then!

I dont know where it is. It could e in customs. I tottaly agree, and im sure hoping it is. However i dont know. Im not going to wait 6 months before I get the ball rolling. heck maybe it will come tom. before I call the CC company.

If he was more willing to give me awsners this would not happen. I have no sent a million e-mails,i have always been polite. he has no reason to ignore me. The e-mails are not working, the phone calls arenot working so I need to find something that will. so ths is the next step. I have not called the bbb, ihave not contacted the police (which i feel i would be in a right for if its found the item was not shipped however i stillwont).

I am hoping that its in customs and this hassel will end, however like i said im not going to wait to find out. I wont be ordering from him again even if it is in customs.

I feel i deserve awsners on MY WAX, its an item i have paid for, i have spent my money on andI am getting nothing... so we will let someone who can get awsners get awsners.....

Re: I just ordered Vintage

You do deserve better. It should've been here; and with no bs excuses. Politeness is now over. This will get corrected!

Re: I just ordered Vintage

how can you find out if it is in customs or not?

ya i totally agree that a level of communication isnt being met by him as a business owner.

too bad, he does have some great prices on zymol though, just scared to order from him.

Re: I just ordered Vintage

Aloha calgarydetail...

Please let me chime in. First, I'm sorry your order is taking so long to arrive.

Well, we ship to Canada quite frequently and please let me explain the different USPS shipping options which I think might be helpful. Delivery time frames below are approximations.

USPS First Class Mail International - varies but delivery time frames comparable to Priority Mail International 6 to 10 days business days
USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box (*not always the best option - the regular Priority Mail Rate Table could be less than the published Priority Mail Flat Rate Box Rate Table. Determining factors are size of box and weight) - 6 to 10 days business days
USPS Priority Mail International - 6 to 10 days business days
USPS Express Mail International - 5 days business days

The delivery time frame is actually the time it takes for a package to reach the destined international country once it is in the hands of the USPS. On the other end, it is really up to the local Customs office and local Carrier to ultimately deliver the package to the final destination "customer". There could be possible delays. Hopefully that is the case with your order.

The only method of shipment via USPS which actually supplies you a tracking number is USPS Express Mail International. The other shipping methods does not include tracking information.

For a product like the Zymol Vintage, we would have shipped it via USPS Express Mail International which requires a signature confirmation by the recipient. I don't recall seeing if your package was shipped USPS Express Mail International but the cost difference is minimal compare to the package getting lost. The difference in cost between USPS Express Mail International and USPS Priority Mail International is only $10.00 USD. Not bad to make sure a product that cost approximately $2000 USD gets to it's owner. Also, for the company like ours, it's a peace of mind knowing that our customer received his/her package.

Thank you & Aloha,
Ranney
