What's a good Menzerna Combo?

Im thinking of picking up some Menzerna Intensive Polish and I'm thinking that I might want to follow it up with a finer polish to remove any haze and micromarring that occures with the IP.

According to the Menzerna chart on Autogeek.net, the Final Polish has a cut rating of 3.0 out of 5. The intensive polish is 3.5 out of 5. Are those two too close to be used together? Would I be better off following the IP with some Micro Polish (cut rating 2.0)

Both the FP and MP have the same gloss rating.

It appears that for moderate defects, you would use the Intensive Polish followed by Micro Polish. For lighter defects, use the just the Final Polish by itself. It also looks like final polish is a good follow up to the PowerGloss Compound

Also, Nano Polish and Super Intensive Polish appear to be just for those new, super hard, ceramic clear coats. Is that true?

Could someone break it down for me? What is the proper application for Intensive Polish, Nano Polish, Micro Polish, and Finishing Polish. Also, which products might work well together?

I used the Menzerna IP followed by FPII when I did my car this weekend. This combo seemed to do an excellent job, but keep in mind my car isn't a daily driver, and thus there weren't a huge amount of defects to correct. Also, these are the first Menzerna products I've ever tried, so I can't compare them to the other polishes they carry.

I'm looking forward to the result of this thread. I'm looking at getting the SIP and 106ff as they have both been highly recommended and I've been told that the combo will correct 90% of cars with the appropriate pad combinations. It also seems that they both work very well for conventional clears even though they are marketed for the ceramiclears. I just haven't gotten the guts to place the expensive order yet, it's hard to swallow $80 for 2 products. Sorry I didn't contribute too much but I'm in the same boat as you.

I have used the IP followed by the FPII on my black BMW and the combination worked very well at removing swirl marks and leaving me with a smooth finish (given that the car is my DD and is 10 years old with 143k miles). Even though the two polishes appear to be numerically close on the scale, you can alter and play with the bite by adjusting your pad choice to get right where you want/need to be.

I would use Menzerna Nano Polish PO 106 or Menzerna Final Polish PO 85U ... That will take car of any haze or micromarring. You'll love the way it finishes out.

What kind of car and what color do you have Less? This will help you get better advise.

SIP and PO106FF are fine for conventional clears and because they're designed with hard clear coats in mind they work nice and fast. My understanding is that SIP and PO106FF have abrasives in them that are smaller but sharper than the other products so they finish nicely yet still have a decent cut to them. I think for a lot of people considering these polishes (not professionals), it can be a good idea just to get the SIP because it finishes quite nice on its own and will take care of the most serious part of your correction as easily as possible. Its also only $30. If necessary, you can follow this up with a finishing polish you already own or one thats less expensive than the 106FF.

The car is a 2006 Infinity G35 Black.

So does everyone agree that the Nano Polish (P106FF) is ok for standard clear coats? If so, that seems like the one to get. It's a happy medium in terms of cut and its got a higher gloss than the FP or Micro Polish.

What I want to do is polish the car to remove defects with the Intensive Polish. Then I want to use a finer polish to remove the micromarring and hazing.

Then I want to use the finer polish, by itself, in subsequent details. If you're all saying that Nano Polish works on regular clear coats, and will do a fine job of cleaning up any haze or micro marring left by the IP, I'll get it.

You might want to check out the Click and Brags on here for G35 details. I really like the way Menzerna finishes on my black Porsche and imagine you would get similar results with it on the G35. As I hardly have any marring, just some light spider webbing from time to time, I use PO85RD with a black LC pad on the PC and am very happy with the results.

I think Picus uses 106 on just about all of his details. Check out his postings
