Question Cobra Microfiber towels.....v.s. Others!

SOOOOO.........I recieved my cobra microfiber towels and I'm not sure what to think. I think they are great quality. But I also picked up a Yellow Meguires Microfiber towel from a local auto store and it's quality feels a bit better. It's softer, bigger, and has satin edges to prevent marring. Plus they ara CHEAPER!

What are everyone's opinions on the Meguires Yellow Microfiber towels? Especially compared to the Cobra microfiber!

What do you think are the BEST bank For the BUCK Microfiber Towels?

Not sure if your talking about microfiber WW drying towels, but for regular microfiber the ones that Costco sell are the best bang for the buck ones imo.

I'm talking about finding QUALITY Microfiber towels (general use and specific use) for a good price.

How are the one's from Costco? Quality? Price? Brand?

cobra, viking/mothers, exceldetail, pakshak, cg's, etc, etc... all have high quality mf towels, it just comes down to personal preference. the ones at sams club/costco are good for door jams, interior/engine work, wheels, etc...

Cobra makes several different MF towels, and I think the "All Purpose" ones are a good value. But the Meguiar's Supreme Shine (yellow) ones can be found even cheaper, and IMO is of quality comparable to the more expensive types of Cobra towels. I usually reach for the Meg's ones for wiping off wax residue, it really is a nice quality.

Re: Cobra Microfiber towels.....v.s. Others!

I don't have any experience with any Cobra mf towels, but the Meg's Supreme Shine mf towel you're talking about is OK at best. It's not as soft and fluffy as other towels. And after a few uses, they really lose their softness and fluffyness. I believe you can get them 3 for about $10 but for a better deal IMO, you can find really good mf towels from viking (the green one for $5.99) or Mother's, which is the same quality as the Viking, except bigger and it costs the same. The Mother's detailing mf towel is yellow. Both these towels have a short nap on one side, with a long fluffy nap on the other. They're just as good as the boutique brands. Not necessarily cheaper than the boutique brands, but you can pick them up at any time and you don't have to pay for shipping.

If your talking about the Meguiars Supreme Shine Microfibers, yeah I find these are some of the best and they really feel like a top quality microfiber.

Saying that I haven't tried cobra or pakshak but in next few weeks will make an order for pakshak seeing as they seem better value for me and shipping is cheaper than what it is for autogeek.

I buy Vroom at Target, cheap and never had any problems. I bought some blue ones at WalMart about a year ago and they're still going strong too.

Re: Cobra Microfiber towels.....v.s. Others!

They used to sell Megs Supreme MF's @ my pepboys but no more...

I really like them: nice and fluffy with satin edges. Plus they seem to last very well for me. I always wash them with micro restore and so far so good (after a year).

I will need to head to my local K-mart and check out some Viking towels. I have tried the Vroom towels and while find them nice, they are a tad small. (these are the soft grey ones)

I really like the Megs yellow mf w/satin edges. I've got a couple in my stash that I've had for a couple years and they're still just as good today as they were back when I first got them. I got them at AutoZone in Portland and everytime I go into an AZ I always look for them, have not been successful though

I've never used cobra mf towels so I can't compare. But the grey vroom towels at target are a nice buy, as are the ww mf towels at WalMart made by Mainstays. I just wish the grey towels were the size of the yellow megs, that would be ideal.

Re: Cobra Microfiber towels.....v.s. Others!

I use the Meg's Supreme Shines for just about everything. They're nice enough (and big enough) for use with QD spray, and I love them for removing polish/sealant/wax residue. When they start to get a little "aged" I demote them to door jamb, rocker panel, wheel duty and don't have to lose any sleep over it because I can go down the street and buy three more to replace them with.

I also really like the Cobra Super Plush (I think that's the name.. the 16x24 microfiber banded blue ones) and PakShak Ultra Plush in 16x24 with MF bands.
