Thumbs down Klasse durability

I find that Klasse AIO has very poor durability. I would not believe for a second that AIO lasts for 6 months. I applied it on our 2002 Honda Civic EX (Gold/silver). This was about 1.5 months ago. I applied 1x AIO to the whole vehicle and 1x #26 carnuba wax. LOOKED AWESOME right after application, finish was very wet. Now there is absolutely no beading or any remaining wax on the finish. Granted the car is outside 24/7 but I would have expected better durability. My $.02.

I never expected Klasse All In One to perform as a protectant. It's a mild polish. We don't 3M smr our cars and expect that to protect do we?

Just making a point, don't go nuts Ali.

I did read the labels and that statement went in one ear and out the other. I don't go for those "all in one products". I rather do each step on its on.

Feel sorry for the person that doesn't know any better.

Never tried AIO without SG but a few layers of SG on top does last that’s a fact. If you only had time for two coats I think you would have been better served going with a layer of SG rather than carnauba. I don’t think there’s any product out there that will protect/shine/bead to Autopian standards for months in one coat on an outside daily driver.

My feeling is that Klasse AIO and SG are intended to be used as a system, with the majority of the protection being supplied by the SG. While AIO may put down a minute amount of polymer protection, I view it more as a foundation for the SG to bond to.

1xAIO is pushing it

If it beaded great after the #26 and then stopped beading it means that the #26 was gone cause it's what caused the inital beading. The other thing is #26 a cleaner wax? Did you let the AIO cure for a day? Just some cosiderations. Klasse doesn't always bead, but it's there.

When I use AIO only, I use 2-2xAIO coats in non-consecutive weekends. I have a few cars on that system of daily drivers that are going strong this winter.

Too bad AIO didn't work out for ya.

Amen to that. Both my cars are outside 24/7. I don't have a garage. I take way more care of my car than I do my wife's mainly because I always have mine with me and I rarely get to do her car. I put 1xAIO and 2xSG and topped it with 1xPPG last August and it was still beading when I clayed it a couple weeks ago. I feel that the durability is definatly there. The PPG wore off in a month probably but the Klasse kept beading. AIO is indeed a great foundation and not really meant to be used all alone. If you had access to SG, why didn't you use it?

Yea i will do SG next time. Even with 1x SG durability goes way up, but I believe the slickness drops. It did on my lexus, and gs3_4me said slickness went down after he did SG. Other than that I love klasse. One more reason to use SG on rims instead of AIO. My rims bead like crazy . They are getting layer 2 this weekend.

I don't understand the loss of slickness. I had over 12 layers of SG on my car and I never felt a loss of slickness. I know it was overkill on the SG but I liked doing it and it wasn't hurting anything. I guess there are a lot of different results that people get out of Klasse. Its still one of my favorite products.

Ya know what?? I put a coat of SG on top of AIO November 2001 and I noticed it started sheeting in February 2002 but didn't do anything about it until a few weeks ago. I put a coat of SG on it and it still sheets so the next day, I QD'ed the truck and the beading started again. Anyone knows why?
