(Marge soaked in the Palmolive for years and she's OK).
Otherwise , you'd think it'd be a cause for concern on CG's
end....liability and such.

I also wouldn't use it as a straight-up replacement for AIO.
I wouldn't imagine that it cleans THAT well.
But , then again, what do I know ?
I'm not saying your hands going to melt off after using the stuff. However, cleaning a car will expose your skin to the chemicals for at least 20 minutes. Multiply that by how many cars you do a day, plus any other uses you have for the stuff (and it contacts your skin). Over the long haul, could this be a concern?

Furthermore, it being citrus based doesn't necessarily mean its safe for your skin.

Then again, what do I know heh

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

Didn't mean for the last line of my prior post to be insulting
or inflammatory...merely self-effacing. It wasn't aimed at you.

I understand that it being citrus-based doesn't eliminate the
need for concern, but is it actually any worse than any other soap
we'd have our hands in for extended periods of time throughout the day ?
Dunno.

But I do understand your concern of the possible danger of extended
exposure and direct contact with such a strong cleaner.

I don't have a definitive answer and probably should have just shut up and let
someone with more knowledge field your question.
My bad.....

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

The CG citrus wash and Gloss is really cost effective, especially compared to the DG car wash soap which I just bought plenty of in the gallon size. With the recommended doses, DG car was soap ends up being ~500% more expensive than this Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss. I'll definitely be keeping the CG Citrus Wash and Gloss in mind for next year's business once I'm through my stash of DG car wash soap.

DG Car Wash Soap = $25.15 / gallon
Recommended dose (1oz soap / gallon water) = $0.196 cents per oz
5 gallon wash bucket with 4 gallons of water + soap = $0.79 cents per wash

CG Citrus Wash = $18.95 / gallon
Recommended dose (1/4oz soap / gallon water) = $0.037 cents per oz
5 gallon wash bucket with 4 gallons of water + soap = $0.15 cents per wash

Has anyone tested the PH of the CG Citrus Wash & Gloss?

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

My hands did not dry out..1/2 oz to 2-3 gallons of water is pretty diluted....My brake dust is not all that bad...I have ceramic brakes but they still dust a little....I would have no fear of eating your skin off...you can spray straight lemon juice on rims and clean them ..it is just citric acid....

its just a good cleaner soap...CG has a good product there....and leaves a nice clean shine....worth getting....

Trying to be non-offensive can be so unintentionally offensive.
It's tough for me to keep my foot out of my mouth sometimes , so I
just assume the worst and set about trying to make amends.
I'm so confused....

It's all good , though.

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

Danforz, do you have any idea what their store hours are? I'm definitely looking forward to it. I kind of have a budget but you never know...it could be like Vegas LOL. I'm bad with sticking to my original plans. But my gambling habits are a bit different than my car care spending habits.

No idea, since Paul and Mark have stayed late just for me to browse their stores . I think they close at 6

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

as far as shaking wash and gloss up...even mark and paul will tell you even though it separates/settles...there is no real loss in cleaning or gloss ability...i have tested it out myself and have seen no measureable difference....

Re: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

I measured today the pH:

pH (0.5 oz, 1 gallon) = 6.46
pH (1 oz, 1 gallon) = 6.79
