If anyone would know more about the menzerna polishes and how they work it would be you. You have them all including the new 106fa, which only a hand few in the world have. I have learned more from you on menzerna polishes and I know the whole system thanks from your expert knowledge.

Plus you have the biggest and best machine here too.... The top tool

Re: Menzerna's New 106FA (pic)

I've not used 106FA, so I can not really comment accurately on this. I will say that the results are impressive, and I have never seen one pass achieve correction that well, while finishing down so clean, with a single pass of a PC.

FWIW, I have seen more aggressive compounds on relatively hard paint remove similar defects and finish down *almost* as well (still required some finishing); similar to the picture Justin posted...

I think in the end regardless of whether or not this did happen exactly like it was presented, we can probably all agree these results will likely not be typical with any polish. Too many factors come into play.

Biggest the best Will try it with my new 5,25" LC CSS pads this weekend. I have a feeling that the green pad and RD3.02 will make a damn good swirl buster.

Green feels much rougher then the yellow and orange. I do like that the green is made by reticulated foam.

I held off on one of my orders to see if the Intensive polish 3.02 and 106 FA was coming in to the vendors in Europe..seems like Menzerna is very behind in getting their products shipped...I called Menzerna USA to get some info on some products...as to product releases and product info ..better off talking to a bag of rocks..

Al,

I think my question got lost in all the controversy. Would you mind answering the above?

Thanks,

Re: Menzerna's New 106FA (pic)

I know on my own car, which has very soft paint, I can achieve pretty good correction using 106/RMG blend and a green Propel polishing pad-but my paint wasn't nearly as bad as the car in the first post was...and I am not intentionally messing up my paint to find out what sort of defect removal 106 is capable of!

Whether or not it is possible to make that level of correction and leave a nearly flawless finish using a light polish and a polishing pad, even of soft paint; seems to fall to the "I'd have to see it with my own eyes" catagory.

Re: Menzerna's New 106FA (pic)

I also have been playing with the new super intense polish 3.01 and on rotory it works best on a polish pad, especially a megs polish pad. I did try it on a edge blue pad but seems to dry up quickly. The same as 106ff finishes better on lc or megs pads.

I have not tried it on the pc yet, but all I have is LC pads for the pc.

Since I've been thinking about mostly switching over the the Edge system, I had a short email exchange with Aaron at Dedication to Detail about this thread. He said that their pads have been tested by Menzerna Corporate and that they work well. I just received a couple of CCS pads I picked up from someone in the Trading Post partly so I could do a comparison before I make a "final" decision.

Hmm . . . I'd call up Menzerna and ask them yourselves. Two weeks when I spoke with Jeff he said the pad of choice to be used with the menzerna polishes are the LC CCS.

I'd take experience over word. What works and what works *well* are very different.
