DP Four-In-One vs Optimum No Rinse

I would like to buy a no-rinse wash solution. Many of the people here use Optimum No Rinse and really like it. I really like the DP products that I have and just noticed that they came out with a rinseless wash as well. Has anyone here used it? What are your opinions? (Is one actually better than the other?) Thanks for your time and consideration.

I've used both (and QEW as well). My opinion is . . . you can't go wrong with either.

They're both really great products and they both work really well.

I have both and prefer the ONR. It's more concentrated so the bottle goes a lot longer, and I think it releases dirt better than the DP. Both are good produts either way.

I haven't used the DP product, but I use ONR regularly. I won't comment on which is better, but I will tell you that whichever one you go with.....dont judge it by the first use. Rinseless washes took some getting used to for me. I really lke ONR now, but if the car is really dirty I like to wash conventionally (even if a a rinseless can handle it).

Re: DP Four-In-One vs Optimum No Rinse

I've used 5 or so gallons of QEW, 1 gallon of DP and 6 or so of ONR. I prefer ONR. All worked well but mixed according to instructions ONR was the cheapest. When I first tried ONR I preferred QEW. I gave ONR another try when I decided to use rinseless washes for almost all of my mobile work. I found when used regularly I liked it more than QEW and it was more cost effective.

Re: DP Four-In-One vs Optimum No Rinse

Thank you all for your help. (BigJimZ28, thanks for the links.) Nearly everyone in the other links stated that it's basically a draw. A couple of people said they thought the ONR released the dirt better and one said that it left the vehicle shinier as if it had just been waxed. That's the look I'm going for, so I'll give ONR a shot first.

Re: DP Four-In-One vs Optimum No Rinse

I tried DP 4-n-1 this fall/winter as a waterless wash. I tried with MF towels, sheepskin mitt and MF mitt and I never really liked using it on my black paint. The paint had to be already pretty clean to use it or else you really had to watch the marring. Luckily I live in NC and warm enough weather to do a regular wash is usually never more than 2 weeks away. I only now use the 4-n-1 as good clay lubricant and I keep a 32oz bottle made up to remove bird bombs.
