Re: I found my favorite light compound/polish! OTC too

Does it have a Malco equivalent, or are they completely different lines?

Re: I found my favorite light compound/polish! OTC too

About five years ago I was looking at getting the malco and presta lines from a sydney based wholesaler. The pricing was fine but unfortunately postage was not available, only trucking it over. I have tried malco rejuvinator and flash wax but I basically moved on to the autopian gear from there and will remain, though the presta does sound really nice.

Site is pacer.com.au

I've used the Ultra swirl remover and it was great.. very well lubricated, but it seemed to contain a lot of fillers, finished off great though. I'm interested in the ultra cutting creme light, sounds like a perfect product to bridge the gap between something like 3M extra cut and PO106FF. BTW, I believe Autocolor in Marietta, GA carries Presta. I can call tomorrow if anyone else would be interested in something, I may be getting a few things from them.

They are different lines. Malco manufactures a lot of products for companies. Presta has there own chemists, but Malco uses there Billion dollar machines to make the products.

Malco products are more for fast pace detail shops or car dealers. I used there stuff and it was ok. There compound is just like 3m.

Products

Here you go guys. click on compounds and then polishes and it gives you a detail of what each is. It also gives you a spec sheet of each product.

There polishes and compounds do not have any fillers in them. They just work very fast!
I have used there 1500 polish for at least 10 years. A lot of people say it has fillers in it, but they do not. I have not used there swirl remover yet. There 3000 glaze stinks and does have fillers in them.

Wannafbody: I have used there regular ultra cutting creme. There ultra cutting creme is a very abrasive compound that will polish a fender off in under 40 seconds. It's really strong stuff. You have to finish off with there 1500 polish or 106ff on medium to darker colors.

This stuff is amazing on the worst of worst vettes. Vetts have a high solid clears and these compounds and polishes work great on high solid clears. I have done quite a few vettes and have never really had a problem with these compounds. Most of the vettes I have done I only use the 1500 polish with outstanding results! I can't wait to try the new ultra light on a beat vette.

I'll check where to buy it in Europe, it sounds like and Intensive Polish RD3.01 but with the abrasives breaking down faster.

How well does Presta do in very hot weather situations? Does it clean easily, both off the panel and pad?
