It's a compound actually, but it finishes down to a finish polish. It's designed to take out medium to like defects, scratches, and swirls. It's micro abrasive diminishing beeds break down pretty fast while correcting the paint and finishes off to a nice gloss. I have not tried it on black yet, but my body shop guy says it will finish out like glass on black. I even tried it on a dark green car that was pretty rough by hand and it looked EXCELLENT after 1 minute of rubbing. My body shop guy said, "be prepared to be amazed" and I was. I am a long time user of presta compounds, but this is the first time I used the ultra cutting creme light.
When I use to detail boats (worst gig ever) I use to use the regular ultra cutting creme and it would cut better than any other compound out there. On severely scratched and oxidized cars that no other compound would work, ultra cutting creme regular would make ease of it and bring it to a nice glossy defect free surface in a minute. It is very fast working stuff. Then I would follow with chroma 1500 and bring to an extreme gloss.
This new ultra cutting creme LIGHT is designed for medium to light scratches and oxidation and will take it from ugly to great in a short period of time.
Just to clear up products and help out everyone.
Ultra cutting creme- heavy duty compound that will take scrathches and dullnes and turn into a gloss. A finish polish is required to finish off to a gloss. (chroma 1500) been using for 10 years.
Ultra cutting creme (light)- Light duty compound that removed medium to light defects and brings to a high gloss shine. I just started using this.
Chroma 1500- A chemical cleaner (non abrasive)that will take out light defect or more depending on pad usage and bring to an extreme high gloss. I have been using for 10 years.
