What is a PC? I have always used pads to apply paint cleaners and waxes.

OTC too I checked with my local body shop supply store and they need $27 for the blue Presta pad, $26 for the green and $22 for the adapter. I'm not all that keen on spending $80+ on something I may use once or twice.
Does Edge = Presta or vice versa?
It sounds like the industry has moved to this quik disconnect system for pad mounting. I've got a boatload of foam pads and just bought some of the Propel. I'm really not keen on starting in with a new "system". I don't use the PC and Makita enough to justify it and have little need for paint "correction".
The store said they have the old style single sided wool pads by 3M attached by the bolt thru center method. They're around $10. I've got a couple of NOS Schlegel pads as well.
Any thoughts? Thx. | |

Edge makes the pads and buffing pad system for Presta. If your just gonna do a job once then buy the Schlegal wool velcro pads. They are excellent pads and they should be around $10. Then you can finish with the foams you have.

I did a little more telephoning this afternoon and found a more reasonable solution. My local guy (Milford) can get the all the pcs. for around $55, which I can live with. If this strategy is highly successful, I'll use the wool pads + #1500 polish more in the future when I typically woulnd't reach for something like that. It could turn out to be time-saver
I assume I can use the adapter with the small Edge foam pads, etc., right?
Thx. | |

Thx. | You can use the small edge pads on the rotory too. System is pretty cool but not cheap. I also use the regular pads too. I have tons of backing plates and have them attached to different pads and can change real fast with the rotory button and a twist.
I wish these items were much cheaper.
