Does anyone know about the CMA CCS pads? Did they change the velcro to cover the whole back as well?

Pretty much-there is about 1/8" lip where the foam is slightly recessed and there isn't any backing. They also have the center cut out for instant centering9if you have a Megs backing plate)

That's what I didn't want to hear. The old 6.5" LC CMA pads were made the same way and I had two LC pads fall apart because of it. If you put pressure on the edge of the pad, the backing plate tends to dig into the foam and rip it up along that 1/8" gap.

Looks like I will try out the AG LC pads this time around.

Re: Lake Country CCS pads from Autogeek?

You could get them from AG as the backing is covering the whole pad. I am waiting to use mine as they are going to be killer. I would say it was more than worth the wait. I will say that AG handled a tough situation rather well. would like to thank them for coming through for me

Re: Lake Country CCS pads from Autogeek?

So I'm a bit puzzled on which pads should be purchased? CMA's CCS or AG's? Reading through some other topics, there are some people who feel CMA's are the way to go but then there's AG's which the entire back covered in velcro.

Thanks for helping clarify this out for me.

(I'm still thinking of moving to the Edge 2k system too...)

If you are using a rotary get the cma pads. The down side is that you can't wash it in the washing mashine. The blue foam would fall apart. For the pc (speed 6) get the other ones.

Great and a many thanks tdekany! (Was actually just typing up a PM to you on this topic) Have you tried the Edge 2k system also or would you stick with CCS pads?

I have edge pads but I never use them.

I like the lc pads from cma due to their soft layer.

I can't tell the difference between the ccs & and previous pads.

Tryout the Edge system! I think they need to upgrade their versions to get something similar to the CCS design. What if I were to order 6" pads for a rotary (6inch BP)?

Can't understand really why AG is different from CMA's CCS pads.

Why CMA pads for rotary?
