What works best on glass for water spots?

I've got a car with water deposits on the glass that won't come off. I got them all off the paint, but it took OHC and a cutting pad on 6 with the PC. What chemical or process works for you guys?

Did you try the OHC on the glass? You could also try the acid step of the FK or AI decon kits. There was also this recent thread: http://autopia.org/forum/detailing-p...ht=water+spots

Here are two other products that have been suggested in the past: Spot-X (available at Home Depot) and Nothin's Better.

I did try the OHC with the PC on the glass, but it wasn't working. I figured I'd try a chemical instead. Thanks for the product suggestions, I'll try them out.

Re: What works best on glass for water spots?

Try distilled vinegar. Also, claying will work on glass as well as paint.

Tried clay too, but to no avail. I'll totally try the distilled vinegar though. Thanks for the cheap suggestion.

That (vinegar) has worked for me in the past, but the spots I was dealing with weren't as bad as what yours sound like..... still it is worth giving it a try.

Re: What works best on glass for water spots?

I had some pretty bad water spots which I just got out this morning with Sonus Glass & Chrome Polish. Worked really well, I tried all kinds of stuff to get them off (vinegar, almost every otc glass cleaner I could find, etc), but the Sonus was the only one that worked.

Re: What works best on glass for water spots?

I have used with good results a mixture of 9% acidity vinegar and Bar keepers friend. I mix it so it's like a cream and use a damp towel and polish the glass with it.
