I have always allowed 24 hours to cure. There is a cure time per my conversation with Bill, on of the DG guys). It could cure as quick as 4 hours if the weather/humidity is right.
If the car is dirty after the 24 hours, I wash and then either reapply another coat or apply AW. Otherwise all you need to do is qd the car with something like FCS, then apply AW.
