Optimum Compound (new formula)

Hey guys, this is a great site! I have been lurking here for a while but this is my first post.

I was shopping for detailing products and I noticed Optimum has reformulated their compound and I was wondering how different it was from the old formula? I assume it has more bite since this seems to be the common complaint with the old formula.

My Ford Lightning has mild swirls and scratches and I plan on using OP with an orange pad and then OP with a white pad. I guess I should go ahead and get the OC in case that doesn't do the trick.

I'd get the OC just in case. Use it with a cutting pad or light cutting pad9if needed) and follow with OP on a finishing pad.

Yes the new Optimum Polish,Compound, and Hyper Compound have more bit and work a lot better than before. They are a lot thinner too. The Hyper Compound is a lot more aggressive than before.

I would recommend getting at least the Polish and Compound.

OC is reformulated? I am in the market for a medium duty compound, so this is great to know.
