Smell- Duragloss Leather vs Zaino Leather Conditioner

I have recently started using the Duragloss products and I am very satisfied with
all I have used, except for the smell of the leather conditioner. I am also a Zaino user,
but have never tried their Z10 conditioner.

Last Thursday, I applied the Duragloss Leather Conditioner to both my cars. The cars
are about 1 year old and the nice new leather smell was still there. After applying the
Duragloss conditioner, I now have a rather strong leather odor in my car, which slaps
me in the face when I open the door, but seems to go away quickly after I am in the car
a few minutes.

My question is mainly for those who have used BOTH the Zaino Z10 conditioner and
Duragloss conditioner. Does the Zaino product have as strong a leather smell as
the Duragloss? I want a "less is more" leather scent in my car. I went with the Duragloss
Conditioner for the convenience and the costs, but not sure I am willing to trade that for
the strong odor of the conditioner. I did read many threads and did see where some do
not like the scent of the DG conditioner. I loved the application of the Duragloss product
and the looks of the leather after the conditioner, but am having a rough time even
considering using it again because of the strong leather odor. Even my wife asked what I
used on the car and she just does not notice things like this (and if she ain't happy, I ain't
happy) .

Thanks, Hokie

I have used both extensively. And, for all intents and purposes, the Z10 and DG leather conditioners smell *exactly* the same, virtually no difference in the smells. So, if the DG is too strong, the Z10 will be too strong for you as well.

If you had both products (Z10 and DG conditioner) side by side and were blindfolded, I guarantee you couldn't tell which is which, going from smell alone.

Thanks TigerMike for your comment on this. I was planning on trying the Zaino,
but if the scent is about the same as Duragloss, I will not do that at this time.

The scent of the Duragloss conditioner is slowly leaving and the seats look great!

I agree with Mike, I use both Z10 and Duragloss Leather Conditioner and they smell and perform exactly the same.

If you're looking for something that doesn't smell so strong you might want to try Sonus Leather Conditioner...It leaves a "clean" smell different than the strong leather scent but it goes away rather quickly (1 day) It really makes the leather look nice and the smell is not strong at all. I prefer the smell of Z10 but the conditioning of Sonus. So I think you'll be more than happy with it. Good luck!

Again, thanks to everyone for your replies. The scent of the conditioner is slowly going away,
but the great looking conditioned seats remain. And the DG601/105/AW shine is outstanding.

And yes, Mach30SiR it is "Go Hokies".... Boston College here we come....

on my leather DG leaves a matte finish and Zaino leaves a more glossy finish. Both are equally good IMO.
