Duragloss 105 TPP sealant

As good as Z in my opinion.

I agree, a great one.

If looking for something different than the Z look then again DG, but I really like PB EX, EXP, Detailers Paradise EPIC. Have not tried it yet, but JW Prime gets some very good press.

It all depends on what you are looking for: durability (still Z, if something similar then DG), carnauba-like look, wettness, shine, ease of use ect.

Werkstatt has been good to me when I don't feel like using Zaino. My other favorite sealants include WG, UPP, and EX-P.

Why do you need an alternative?

I would stick with the best product. I've tried everything and Zaino has the most flake pop of anything on my silver paint.

Ditto!!!

Unfortunately, we both went looking for something better only to find that the grass was as green and full as it is going to get with proper Prep.

Well, there are a lot of variables and subjective interpretations open there. Maybe different colors of silver have different levels of flake and different products may work better (again, subjective) on different colors.

I don't guess I get the whole flake pop thing. You're putting a micro thin layer of liquid or paste on your paint, buffing off all exess product, and you're left with what exactly on the paint? Does Natty's Blue leave a blue film on the paint? Does Z2Pro leave a pink colored film on the paint? How about M21? A purple film? If this were the case, it seems clear colored products (How many of THOSE are there... TW ICE?) would allow the best "flake pop."

Since the OP is from Malaysia, perhaps Z is hard to come by or is very expensive.

Z is a good product, but it's not the only good one..and I wouldn't pay double for it over another great product.

What product lines are easily available in Malaysia?

I have, like, and use Zaino. So this is nothing to do with that. Only that a statement saying why use anything else if you have the best is too general imo - it may be the best for YOU iyo. But, I use other products too because I feel that they are sometimes better for ME imo (eg. on my black car, if I use a sealant without a caruaba topper, I personally favor DG 105 or WG).

That is the great thing about a forum and the OP question - this way we can help narrow down the options and maybe he would then try a couple and come up with his own favorite. Again prep makes everything look great .

We can't get Zaino in Malaysia...the nearest distributor is located in Singapore. The other factor is also cost..By the time Zaino gets shipped to Singapore and if i were to order it from the Singapore distributor, it works out to be about 1.7 times what you guys can buy from the US..

I'm looking at an alternative product to the Z system, in terms:

1. Durability
2. Ease of use
3. Looks..should rival the looks of Z as well.

the forum is a great place and i do appreciate all the responses i've been getting. I have not tried Duragloss. So far, i've tried Zaino and Klasse twins. The looks are quite different btw Z and Klasse. I prep using Menzerna polishes..

We don't get many good products in Malaysia. The other problem with Z is the distribution...Territorial rights. I'm forced to purchase from the distributor in Singapore even if the prices of the Z is much cheaper in the US..which is the main reason for me to look at alternatives.
