Got 5 coats of Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax need to buff PADS??

OK Now I have 5 coats of PS. I would like to buff it with my DA with a pad. What kind of pad do I need to make that PS shine? Something non-abrasive. Thanks!!

If you are just wanting to put another coat on via DA I'd use a finishing pad.

MDRX8- I'm confused here...did you put on five applications of wax without buffing any of them off? As in, you applied wax, then you applied more wax on top of the dried wax, etc. ? That's the way it sounded from your post...

I buff my LSPs off with both the plush and suede-style MF bonnets, both work fine for waxes and I can't tell any difference between they two functionality-wise.

No after each coat the wax was removed via hand power buffer. I would like shine the surface with a buffing pad? What should I use?

I'd start with a polishing pad and get more aggressive from there.

You're still not making any sense. What do you mean by "hand power buffer?"

Heh heh, I'm still a little too ...I gather you have the wax buffed off and you're considering buffing the panels further to improve the look. You're considering doing this without applying any more product to the panels, right?

If you've already buffed off the Souveran's residue I don't see any wisdom in "dry buffing" it. I'd want the lubrication provided by the wax residue if I were buffing it.. I'd be more worried about inflicting some micromarring and less hopeful about improving the look.

I *could* see the point of using a spray wax/etc. and buffing it with that stuff on the paint...for that I'd probably use the softest, plushest MF bonnet you have.

I think he means "hand power" vs "electric power". It sounds like buffed by hand with a towel.

Exactly what I mean. "Heh heh, I'm still a little too ...I gather you have the wax buffed off and you're considering buffing the panels further to improve the look. You're considering doing this without applying any more product to the panels, right?"
Right. Is there a pad for this? Just a pad to shine things up some. Hand buffer was a joke...I mean just by using your hand to brighten things up.

I don't think there's any pad meant to be used dry. As Accumulator mentioned, you could try something like Crystal Mist buffed with a MF bonnet.

MDRX8- OK,*now* I get it!

Yeah, as ZaneO posted I don't believe you'll improve the appearance of the Souveran by "polishing the wax". I'd spit-shine-apply another layer using the Crystal Mist.

Rubbing the wax without adding anything is *IMO* a recipe for micromarring, or, at best, you'll just abrade away some of the wax you spent time/effort applying.
