(Florida heat and rain) I might be moving to florida and was thinking that with the daily rain florida receives that it would be better to have an LSP that sheets more so than beads. I know this would be likely a sealent but which one sheets the best and lasts the longest?
Thanks

Also, is the recommendation for FK Pink wax for it's sheeting properties or beading?

FWIW, UPP beads for me, at least until it's lost so much slickness that I redo it anyhow. Same with KSG.

Most everything beads really well and will sheet if you're driving...doesn't do you any good while your car is sitting at work though.
PB EXP is the closest thing I can think of that doesn't really bead so much as it does just kind of sheet (for the most part).

I mean to say that if you have the raining and then no sun, then beading water won't hurt as long as you have protection on the paint. If the rain you're talking about is thunderstorm-like with the sun coming out right after the rain, then I would go with a sealant. Dunno which sealant is best, though...
If you don't mind beading water, then Collinite is the most durable carnauba wax that I've seen. It also beads water very nicely. Of course, if you're looking for sheeting, then Collinite is obviously not what you need.
BTW, maybe you can considering hosing down the car after the rain has stopped. Use the free nozzle method so that you don't have as much water on the surface. Then, either dry by blotting the surface with an absorber/WW, or the best choice: use a leaf blower.

I would have to agree that not too many products sheet very well. Florida weather is gonna be tough on whatever product you use. A wax or sealant will work fine, you just have to keep in mind you will have to apply waxes more often than you would a sealant. I never had any troubles getting at least a month out of carnaubas but, if you need longer durability than that a sealant is probably the way to go. For me I have a hard time NOT appling some product or another to the car so even with sealants I generally am applying something on a monthly basis.

In heavier rain, water just sheets off. A lot different than most other LSPs that I see.
