Post Prima (Detailers Paradise) Mini Review

After reading Justin's review of some of the stuff from the new Prima lineup the other day, I realized that I never put my mini review of some of their first to market products on the board, so here ya go.

I ordered the Prima sample kit from Detailers Paradise when the line was first introduced. The bottles and sprayers are very nice touches and a step above most other lines that often have me reaching for better sprayers. I haven't gotten a chance to use the Swirl polish yet. I have a beta sample of the Epic sealant that I hadn't got to try either, but if it is anything like the rest of this lineup then Nick has really knocked one out of the park.

Prima Mystique Auto Wash--The most impressive boutique shampoo I have ever used and the only boutique wash I have ever felt that justified its price. Great post-wash gloss makes the car look like it has already been quick detailed. Very good slickness and easy rinsing suds that last the entire wash with very little product required. Did I mention that it's available by the gallon?

Prima Slick--Great qd to increase slickness and actually seems to leave some protection behind. I like that it also contains some mild cleaners, too. Works great on glass, trim, everything.

Prima Clarity--Excellent glass cleaner especially on vinyl fog from interior windows. Doesn't smear/streak and wipes away cleanly without evaporating too quickly. It is now my go to interior glass cleaner.

I have yet to find a glass cleaner better than Prima Clarity. So good in fact was this product for glass that it has replaced my Poorboy's Spray and Wipe for cleaning glass.

Yes, I realize car shampoo, yet another QD, and glass cleaner aren't going to become the next "Duragloss" especially since the Prima line is boutique priced. Currently only the Mystique and Slick are available by the gallon, so that could be an advantage for the heavy hitters.

Xfire--Nice to hear that the Clarity works as well for you.

If I wasn't stuck having to work the strike at my plant (currently approaching the 2 month mark ), then I would have already tried the beta sealant...

The Epic is a very nice sealant somewhere in between WG and CG 2180 in slickness. I used it on my sister’s daily driver last week. There is no dust accumulation or evidence of rain on the car. It seams to wash and dry itself when it rains.

Well so far I have big raps on the lot that I have which includes swirl, epic, nero, mystique, hydro and slick

Yes mystique is a great wash, as I have said many times here, I mix it with werkstatt's wash and that keeps the car slick. No other product has done this.
Mind you I have six coats of AJ trigger and collinite 915 wax on there

Hydro when used on dry car, seems to finely polish marks away
Marks are still gone from friends car that is the guinea pig for my stuff so I don't think it fills them

My prima package arrived today!
I got Epic, Amigo, and Hydro. I plan one trying them by hand (my DW443 is on order). I am impressed on the quality of the bottles/containers and anticipate similar quality of DP's products. Any tips? For those who have been using them, any updates one your initial assessments? Thanks.
