Bosch PEX 400 AE ROB speed settings guidelines?

Hi,
I'm about to receive my first ROB - a Bosch PEX400AE. Just wondering whether anyone may have some suggestions regarding which speed settings to use for various tasks.

The specs are:
400 Watt power input
215 watt power output
No load speed 4500 - 13000
No load oscillations rate 9000 - 26000
Eccentricity (orbit offset) 5mm
Backing Plate Diameter = 125mm

I find it interesting that there is a "speed" rating. This implies to me that the pad is forced to rotate, like a normal rotary buffer. (in addition to the eccentric oscillation)

Note that the only reason for not ordering the PC is that I'm in Australia, and I do not wish to use a transformer.

Greg.

It doesn't have forced rotation. Use the speeds commonly recommended for the PC.

Thanks for that - how simple.

Any idea why there are two seperate speed specifications? (i.e, one for speed, the other for oscillation rate)

Greg.

Bosch always specifies both.

What do they each mean, though?

The no load speed is the usually the RPM of the motor, the OPMs are the actual oscillation/pad throw.
