Poorboys Spray and Gloss (SG) http://poorboysworld.com/spray-gloss.htm
gives a deep glossy shine when used after a quick detail. Klasse Twins-All-in-One (AIO) and Sealant Glaze (SG) http://autogeek.net/klasse.html
did my very 1st complete detail using a combo of Porter Cable (PC) and Microfiber (MF) with wipe on/wipe off (WOWO) technique. Had excellent results.
Foamaster Foam Cleaning Gun http://autogeek.net/foam-gun.html
excellent time-saver, and it really works as advertised.

With Track and Autocross season upon us, I really need to do this cleaning frequently and QUICKLY. The car gets FILTHY after a day of evaporating $4 a gallon 93 octane. So I'm not eager to spend the whole previous day cleaning it.
That's why FK has been my new best buddy:
FK1 FK146 cleans QUICKLY
FK1 425 Restores gloss INSTANTLY
FK1 FX100 (amazing, works well over wax or acrylic sealant)
WerkStatt Acrylic Jett Trigger (bye bye Klasse SG)
Klasse ALL in One (still the King)
P21S wheel cleaner (can you say CLEAN)
Sea Sponge for washing (sooo easy to clean)
1Z leather for my Fine GT3 Recaoro Pole Position seats (A++++ leather cleaner)
1Z Vinyl Care for my dash
Klasse VLRP for my Black Plastic (EXCELLENT)
Optimum No Rinse is here!

Ron,
Just learn the abbreviations, as we did in the early days... and you save us from a lot of typing.
BTW, yes, FK1 and 1Z are brand names. They sometimes print out their whole names (Finish Kare & Einszett), but their logos are definitely contain only the FK1 and 1Z names, so the post was indeed correct. www.fk1usa.com www.1z-usa.com

Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 231 | Here are my go-to products:
Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds
Heavy & Ultra Heavy sheepsking wash mitt from Excel
Waffle Weave Drying Towel - Pakshak or Big Blue from Properautocare
Microfiber - Ultra-Smooth and Ultra-Plush from Pakshak and Elite and Edgeless from Excel Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner Klasse AIO (probably the most used product that I have)
Four Star UPP (on my car)
Poorboy's EXP (on father's SUV)
Collinite IW (on the car that stays outside 24/7)
FK1 Pink Wax
Eagle One Wet Wipe & Shine Menzerna HGAS (on my car)
FK1 FX-100 (for use with EXP)
Glass Scrub from Glass Science
303 Protectant
303 Fabric Cleaner (FK1 121 sample really good as well)
I have a bunch of other QD's and LSP's that I've tried a couple of times and other that I have yet to try. On the list are FK1 2180 and Natty's Blue.
Wasn't asked, but products that I don't really care for, have yet to really impress me or have other products that perform better:
Four Star Ultimate Gloss Enchancer (HGAS & FX-100 much better)
Poorboy's Spray & Gloss
Quikshine (only use on glass for now)
Mother's Back to Black Meguiar's NXT Tech liquid wax
1Z Perls and Exclusiv (like SS&S and Optimum car wash much better and less expensive)

Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Sammamish, WA Posts: 112 | This is great stuff - thanks for all who are particpating and those who are reading this now should feel free add their 2 cents.
It is interesting to see which things are recurring and I'm more surprised to see the variation especially in waxes and pads. I know that this stuff is religous to a lot of detailers and many people find a product and stick with it, but I was expecting more consistency than I'm seeing here.
If someone gets bored, it would be cool to have a database of the products listed to see what the "top products" are based on the # of times they are listed. Quote: |

Still, I think it is more useful for a thread like this to be specific so that people (especially newbies and visitors) can see exactly what people are using.
I find this thread pretty educational and fun to read, so hopefully others do too.
