Yes, it's like any other glaze. I own a bottle and have used it in the past with very good results when topped with NXT.

Guys, thanks A BUNCH for helping me realize an extremely important thing: Carnaubas are NOT sealants . I was under the impression that they are an excellent way to seal the paint while giving it depth, but apparantly not so!

After reading the newest posts, I spent a lot of time researching Red Moose Glaze, AIO, ClearKote Quick Shine QD, FK1 425, and even the foam gun (excellent idea, by the way, I'd never heard of that!)

Pennypacker, yes AIO seems to be only very mildly abrasive, which practically every one-step product out there is, so that's no big deal.

In search for a product for my newly discovered need for an acrylic sealant, I read a lot on the Menzerna FMJ (better than AIO in side-by-side comparison) and Acrylic Jacket (not Acrylic Shield; that one is a spray) and they both seem to be phenominal for sealing, but the AJ seems a bit superior. It is practically a 40% FP2 and 60% FMJ mix and one coat does the same job as one coat of each of the other two. However, FMJ has no abrasives, so I am torn between the two.

In view of everyone's insighful comments, I am now looking at the following for the exterior:

P21S shampoo
Any good OTC clay
Menzerna Acrylic Jacket or FMJ
Red Moose Machine Glaze
Natty's Blue
FK1 425 QD
(love the "anti-static" results members here have had with the it)

As for Zaino's resilience, it is extremely resistant to even Dawn for removal. At the 350Z forums I frequent, members have had a very tough time removing Zaino. One got so frustrated, he got his car wetsanded (ouch!) to start from scratch.

Chpsk8, yes I want to use as few websites as possible to save on shipping. I already have an Excel spreadsheet grid (I'm a nut!) with my list of products and roughly 5 detail supplies e-tailers to see at a glance who carries what and at what price. By the way, thanks for telling me about the foam gun. I couldn't find Danasse (even Google was no help!) but found another one on Autogeek. Will definitely look into it in the near future. Gotta upgrade the Z's sound system first!

for the continued help!

I'd throw in a few bucks for Stoner's Invisiglass; it works great!

Yes, I've been using Invisible Glass for a few years. I keep thinking someone stole my windows! That stuff is unbeatable!

Killer on red?

Optimum Polish for any future swirl/defect removal
Menzerna 106FF mixed with Clearkote Red Machine Glaze for your final glaze or light polish
Clearkote's Carnauba Moose Wax as your LSP, Werkstatt's Carnauba Jett to layer on top.

Quick, bubba-proof combo? Meguairs #80 Speed Glaze topped with Meguiars #26 High Tech Yellow Wax.

Any quality clay and car wash soap is fine.

Thanks for the clarification Bence! I had no idea. Sorry for the misinformation ManiZ. Your list of products is looking impressive!

(Oh, and try Danase [one s])

Scott, thanks a lot for chiming in. I really appreciate it.

From my research, it seems the cutting power of Optimum Polish is dependant on the kind of pad used to apply it. But I will be applying it by hand as a prep/cleaner wax. I will get a PC at a later time. Would it still be okay to use? My main concern is that since the car will be brand new, I don't want to over-polish it. That why I really like Scott's point about using separate LSP and polish instead of a 1-step product like Menzerna AJ. I just need a mild cleaner/prep polish to use whenever I do a complete detail (every 8 weeks or so). In-between, I will just use FK1 and may be Natty's after washes. I can get Optimum now for (unavoidable) future use with a PC, as Scott suggested, but what should I get now for prep/cleaning? Something such as Poorboy's Polish+Carnauba (Blue), Poorboy's 100% Pure Polish (white), P21S Paintwork Cleanser, or something else? A polish is the only thing missing on my list now.

Also please look at whether my proposed products will layer well or not. For example, if I get either of Poorboy's polishes, should my sealant ALSO be a Poorboy's (e.g. their EX-P)? or will RMG and CK Carnauba Moose layer perfectly on top of it? I don't want to start a separate thread of that and occupy even more space here.

Thanks! I am 90% there now. Just need to finalize the best polish/sealant combo for my specific needs and I'm done!

Thanks for continuing to chime in. I am taking a leap of faith by investing so much in supplies, hence my desire to "do it right" the first time.

How about the Menzerna kit:

FMJ, the Glaze and FP I?

That is my combo. Plus I have AIO and FK 425. For me all to the what I will keep around for a while. I used Zaino before and it worked well, too.

maniZ. Danasse is one of the site sponsers. He's even got his own section in the forum! http://autopia.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=128

Good to see a fellow spreadsheet nut. I do the same thing. I check a bunch of sites and add in shipping and make sure I'm getting a square deal. Sometimes though, you just need to "do it".

It's good to have some different levels of polish in your arsenal. Being a new car I would think that you really only need a fine compound for now. Poorboys and Clearkote should work fine together.
When polishing you want to use the least agressive polish and pad to do the job. Sometimes all it takes is a pad change and the same polish and it will get more aggressive.
I use an orange ExcelDetail pad and some 106FF and can get a ton of spiderwebbing and swirls out of my Lexus.
