Favorite Detailing Tools/Garage Toys

Well since spring is just around the corner I would like some input on some detailing tools I should be looking into or garage goodies. I will be ordering a foam gun for sure, already have a pc, and creeper....And we are also remodeling our garage this month so Im looking for ideas for in there...I will be posting the progress of that project in 2 weeks when we begin. so keep your eyes open for that thread! Thanks!

My favorite tool would have to be my shop vac.

My favorite toy would have to be the JVC 550w stereo I bought for my garage, helps me work.

What kind of shop vac do you have - Im looking to order a Rigid Wall Mounted Wet Vac 5 hp next week.

I have a craftsman 5hp model. I would go against the wall-mounted option, think about it, instead of having to haul around a tiny electrical cord, you will have to haul around a massive vacume hose. I would not want one, rigid vacs are cool though

MetroVac. PC 7336 and Makita Rotary tied for second.

2. Whats your favorite toy for in the garage?

Stainless steel work bench from Sam's Club. Versatile in function and very pretty with my blue color scheme.

Favorite tool:
4" pads, for use with the PC and with my Wolfgang Polishin' Pal.

Favorite toy:
Aluminum work platform, but the XM radio is nice too if I'm outside the garage (can't get reception inside the garage).

I love my xm radio too - except I also get poor reception in the garage. I set my antenna by the window or outside it and luckily that seems to work better...It's gonna be a tough choice though once I get our 27'' tv hooked up

This time of year my favorite tool might be my (no longer manufactured

) undercar wand from American Waterbroom.

My latest fave toy is probably the Air Wand.

But I can't end this post without mentioning the high-wattage (300w) incandescent trouble light for swirl-spotting. Beats my halogens hands-down.

my favorite detailing tool... hmmm... would be my shop vac. I've got a 6.5 horsepower rigid vacuum w/ a 265 mph detachable blower. Awesome suction and the blower makes quick work of water after a wash.

my favorite toy, well, my stereo.

SilverLexus I am also looking for these types of lights. I talked to my dad about it and he is going to build a stand out of steel from his work and I need to find some lights he can fit to it and these sound great....Accumulator: Ne links for us

Sorry, no links for the high-wattage incandescent trouble lights. I've only seen them in one catalog and a) they were closing them out and b) the shipping was twice the cost of the light!

I got mine at Lowe's. Bill D recently found them at *his* Lowe's too, though they didn't have them before. They cost about $20 plus a few bucks for the 250-300W bulb. Mine's a terribly cheap thing, doesn't even have an on/off switch, but it has a spring clamp and it does the job. They were in the trouble light dept (across the aisle from the lightbulbs), a pile of them in a cardboard box. Make sure you get the *high-wattage* version, my Lowe's had all the different wattages mixed together

You might do a search for Northern Tools, I *think* that's the catalog I saw them in. But again, I'd hate to pay a fortune in shipping for something so cheap.
