Maximizing the benefit of a grit guard....
Well, I finally got myself a grit guard (long overdue) When I finally used it, I found myself in a dilema. I had only one grit guard, but 2 buckets.... 
Ideally, we should have 2 grit guards (one per bucket) but in the case where only one grti guard is available, which bucket?  I thought that using the grit guard in the rinse bucket maximizes it benefit as this is the bucket that gets the most dirt..... What do you think?

That would be correct, IMO, I like to rub the mitt across the grit guard to loosen any materials.

I don't understand this sort of topics, they cost 9.9 $ so what's the point ?
(We pay a Big MacMenu more then that here in Belgium !)

Yes, grit gaurd in rinse bucket. I just washed my sandy,salty, H2 yesterday, and when dumping out the rinse bucket there was quite a bit of sand at the bottom.. ( Seems like the grit gaurd is working)

Yes I use the GritGuard in my rinse bucket when I'm washing, either in the traditional way or with QEW.
The whole point of the 2-bucket method is to keep the dirt out of the wash bucket. So there shouldn't be much of any dirt in that water anyway.

Well, I wasn't that far off in my estimate. I totally agree, we should use 2 of them, but sometimes we have this kind of mental farts, and when I said I was going to get a grit guard, I took it to the letter, and got a grit guard, as in one..... 
I will ask the 3 wise men for another one....

PS. The big mac meal here is $55 pesos the last time I checked (close to $5 USD)..... By the way, taking a girl to McDonalds is "cool"... try that in the USA  |
