Hey Guys I just purchased a whole bunch of Zaino for clear coat paint .I read the article on waxes and polishes and now I am really confused.I read the homepage that Zaino Brothers have they talk about polish and never mention wax. They also talk about layering this stuff with an excellerator.I have hear numerous people talk about having 18 coats of Zaino on their cars ,but this is a polish.Do they put 18 coats of polish on and then wax over it? Whats the deal? Help! Thanks JKD

I doubt if Zaino is truly a "polish" in the strict Autopian or detailing sense. Rather, I would categorize it more as a sealant. When you go through the Zaino Brothers site and some articles in this community, you will find out that the beauty of Zaino is its optical clarity that does not obscure the nice coat beneath it. Often you are going to read how some prep their paint surface first before topping it off with Zaino. There are excellent standing articles in Autopia that detail the applications of Zaino and various ways of preparing the paint surface. Check them out and enjoy the shine!

Aloha!

Although they call Zaino a polish, it is actually neither a polish nor a wax. It is a synthetic product. Yes, you can layer as much as you wish, I have had up to 20 layers at a time on my vette. There is no need to wax over it, once you get a layer or two on, you'll realize there is no need.:wavey
