Problems with Autogeek
Has anyone else had problems with Autogeek customer service lately? I ordered some items from them last week (sunday of 2 weeks ago I think), and they didn't ship out for 2-3 days. Not only that, but after I made the order, I sent them an email and left a phone message asking if they could include some of the new DP samples in my order. Not only did they fail to do so (not unreasonable, considering that my order sat in their warehouse for 3 days), I never recieved a response to either of my messages. Needless to say, I'm done with Autogeek, I was just wondering if anyone else had had the same problems with them.

There was a post made saying they were out of samples.
I wouldnt sweat a few small bottles of samples, and i wouldnt publicly trash a vendor either.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with their customer service. Jeanette (customer service) and Jason (products info) have been a joy to work with. All of my products have been shipped on time.
I have had excellent experience with all online vendors that I have purchased from. Autopia-carcare, exceldetail, pakshak. All have been wonderful.

Don't get your panties in a wad. If hundreds of orders are being shipped, let alone free samples (ones which have already been claimed), what makes you think you're going to get free stuff just because you asked for it?

Autogeek has been a superb vendor for me. They ship timely and phone service is superb and they have a top quality product line.

Just to play devil's advocate, do they guarantee that they will ship the same day or the next day after you order? Perhaps they got a lot of orders that weekend, and were just filling them in the order received. Perhaps they were missing one of the items on your order and elected to wait a day or two until the missing item came in, rather than do a split shipment. Maybe someone in the shipping dept. was sick. And since when is a vendor required to give out free samples? Samples cost someone money, after all.
Just my $.02...don't get mad at me, too!

Also, why don't you try to settle this the correct way and send a PM to Jason? (jason@autogeek)
I'm sure he'd handle it properly. Posting this thread is getting you nowhere.

I took advantage of the 25% off discount coupon I got in email last week from Autogeek, my order is arriving tomorrow, exactly one week after I placed the order. I have never had a problem with Autogeek or any other vendor I've used from Autopia. I suppose the occasional order gets fouled up once in a while...they're only human...

He said he emailed them and left a phone message. Neither were responded to nor acted upon. Why should he have to track down their reps to get a response?
They list ways to contact them on their webpage, he tried those methods, and they did not work. He attempted to resolve the problem privately but did not get satisfaction. Now he is attempting to get feedback regarding his problem in a public forum.
Would responses regarding the samples be any different if he had called to try to add a normally priced item to his order? What's the difference? He asked that his order be changed via two different methods and he was ignored.
Posting this thread is exposing his less-than-perfect transaction with Autogeek. I'm sure that you would prefer that people only post positive things about your favorite vendor, but this is the real world. Vendors screw up and people are unhappy. themightytimmah is attempting to find out if this is a recent trend.
FWIW, Autogeek says that "every effort" is made to ship "all orders" within 24 hours.

I ordered from AutoGeek once, and had no problem. IIRC, most of their stuff is overpriced (MF's, etc.). Back in the old days, you never expected a mail-order place to ship the same day or the next day...I think we just get spoiled these days...all this instant gratification....
PS I get all impatient now, too.
