Big Blue Drying Towel

I'll keep this short and sweet. There is no false advertizing going on here, this thing is big and blue. Its waffle woven MF towle thats very plush and soft. After cutting of the viper label off I whent to work. After washing with AutoIts "C", i flooded lots of the water off then gabbed the Big Blue and a green viper cloth. The Big Blue is quite absorbant, id say just as good as my previous benchmark, the Bandit. The bandit would load up with water quickly but you could easily ring it out, where MF is harder to wring out. Luckily, i didnt have to wring it out once! I whent over the whole car with the Big Blue and it absorbed quite a bit of the water. I made a second pass with the green viper to get the spots i missed and in the crevices of the car that were still wet. Id rate the Big Blue higer that the Bandit. One, they are equal in absorbancy, the B-B doesnt saturate as quickly, and its machine washable and doesnt dry as hard as a peice of bark. If anyone has a chamios that dies a noble death (like my bandit did bless its soul), get the big blue, youl be happy.

I used this towel for the first time this weekend. It worked mostly as advertised. I was able to dry the entire car (shaded 55 degrees) with the towel. It was definitely very damp when I finished - not 'still dry to the touch' as advertised. The waffle weave is interesting. I may get a Neat Items large towel to compare with since these will be normal MF weave. I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend to others.

I have a feeling the waffle weave will work better, waffle weave or similar design seem to absorb more water than terry IMO. Terry is better for removing wax residue and such.

ITS AWESOME BUDDY...i have 2 cause they were on sale...your talkin bout the CMA ones right....anyway...wait til u wash tem...i got 1 a little scuffed up and it all just washed right out so nice.............love it!!!!!!!!!!!!my bandit is relegated to door jams and the like now too...

I used my Big Blue Microfiber drying towel from CMA for the first time today. Bingo! I will never again be without this product and am ordering a couple more right now. Just an absolutely great product that will change the way I work entirely. The only problem I encountered is that you have to be a little careful around sharp edges, as I snagged the towel once and did pull up a loop, not that this wouldn't happen with a regular towel, but the MF's are more expensive that my regular Cannon Charisma towels.

What FLONI said . . . I haven't opened up my Water Bandit at all since I got the Big Blue. I'm going to pick up another one at some point; I can't quite get the whole car dry without wringing just the one, but with two, it should be no problem at all. The biggest advantage of the BB over the WB (imo) is the volume of water that it can hold before starting to leave drops behind. The WB is absorbent, but loads up so fast that I can never seem to get more than a half of a panel dry before it needs a good wringing out. With the BB, I was able to dry well over half of the entire car before it became saturated.

Drying is just about my least-favorite detailing task; the Big Blue has made it faster and easier:

TortoiseAWD, I use the Water Bandit to quickly wipe the bulk of the water on the horizontal panels and that allows my BB towel to be able to easily handle the rest.
