Hi all
Following my post before Xmas
http://autopia.org/forums/showthread...threadid=48094
I detailed the above Black BMW, which was normal clearcoated Black with
VM
EX-P (as it was being topped)
Clearkote Carnuba
Car came out really well, but am still tempted to get some Souverän, as a topper. This is really the only black car I have had to deal with up to now. All the other cars have been a variety of colours so the #16, P21s, Nattys, CMW, have always been fine. With only one car in Black to clean, Souverän has always seemed a a bit of a costly option seeing as I cant get it over here easily in the UK, so has always been a no no.
Another owner that I have been detailing for has now just changed there Silver car for a Metallic Black car. Do people use the same methods on a Met. Black car as they do on Normal Black?
I was planning to go VM, EX or EX-P on it then top with wax?
Have read a few posts about EX and EX-p looking better depending on the shape of the car. I have tested each panel by panel and both seem to take the apperance of the VM below it, but plan to do some more trials as I have each.
As for the topper is Souverän as good on Metallic Black as it is on normal Black, or are #16, P21s, Nattys, CMW, or possibly
Pinnacle Signature as that is said to be good on Metallic's. Do people take the same approach to Metallic Black as they do on Normal Black?
Cheers
