Shop Vac question

Hello everyone

I've been with the board for abit but haven't posted. I do have a question.

What shop vac do you recommend? I've read suggestions of shop vac's over 5hp but is there one specific one I should look into?

Does size matter, as in are you looking for a small unit to do mobile detailing with?

Sorry I should of stated that it is for detailing vehicles.

I assume if I get a bigger unit, hoses and attachments could be needed for detailing?

Are you planning on using it as a "mobile" vacuum, or will it be kept pretty much at one place. If mobile, get a 1 gal type. If not, get a 5 gal one. I know Rigid (Home Depot) has a little car detailing kit that converts it to a smaller hose and has smaller attachments. It's kind of nice.

Pretty much kept in the same place. I have a 1/2 gallon 1.5 hp one now but it doesn't seem to pull up the sand when I begin my detail.

I couldn't be happier with my 5hp, 4Gal. Rigid pro. vac.
It has more than enough suction, but the small size to store and make it very mobile.
Highly reccomended.

I couldn't agree more!! I love this vac for mobile detailing. The size and power are absolutely perfect.
