well i got lots of stuff from my big order from CMA so im gona have alot of little reviews on things... the first being these mitts. this is the first time ive done product reviews so bare with me. ive been using a normal sheepskin mitt for about half a year and this MF mitt is brand new. so on with my experiences with each...
the sheepskin was always good to me. very soft, very gentle on the paint, grabs lots of suddy water, pretty durable, easy to use and easy to clean.
the MF was also good in many ways, its soft (duh), gentle too, and obviously cleans very well. but there were some things i didnt like too much about it. one being that its just too damn absorbant (dirt wise, not water). if ur like me and am very cautious of what gets stuck on ur mitt so it wont be dragged acorss ur paint, this probably wont be such a nice mitt to use. yes its good that it sucks up contaminants, but once u get any big ones on there, its a real real real pain to get them out. making ur washes alot longer than u planned it to be. the sheepskin mitt can pick up dirt AND replease them alot easier, making it just easier ot use and clean afterwards.
the next thing that bothered me about the MF mitt is it's interior design. first of all its just a big small and short for my hands and my hands arent exactly super big. when i say small, its only caus of the stiching design... this i will cover on the next paragraph. when i say short i mean its short up your wrist so it feels like its going to slip out of your hands very easily. the sheep skin one had an elastic area around the wrist so no mater how heavy it gets from grabbing the water out of the bucket, theres no worry of it slipping out of your hand and onto the ground.
another thing i didnt like too much about the MF mitt is its stiching. they stiched the mitt right down the middle of the whoel mitt. which mean u will need to split ur fingers either between ur middle and 4th fingers or between the 2nd and middle. both of which i found was very uncomfortable and always just didnt fit right. remember, i have normal size hands and fingers. this compared to the puffy mit shapped (one big round area for 4 fingers and another seperate one on the side for your thumb) on the sheep skin made the sheepkin one alot more comfortable to use. also, because of the way it seperated my fingers it gave me a hard to gripping the mitt between my fingers when the mitt got heavy.
another thing to note is the way each mitt carries its water. to be honest, both mits practically carry the same amount of water. u can feel it in the weight. thats taking into the account that the MF mitt is smaller (less surface area) than the sheepskin mitt. but carrying more doesnt always mean its better. in this case, the problem the MF had was that it just didnt want to let go of the water as much as the sheepskin (another characteristic of MF). so while the sheepskin will gladly let go of the water, making the surface ur washing very wet and suddy and enjoyable, the MF will keep ur area realtively dry while ur glidng ur mitt back and forth on somthing even if u have lots of water in ur mitt. it basically just adds weight to ur mitt, kinda making it harder to use.
finally one small thing, the MF mitt just took waaay too long to dry by air. where my sheepskin would practically dry completely over night, the MF took two nights AND about 25 mins in the drying on med heat settings. (i was frustrated with its drying time so i just threw it in the dryer finally).
So my final conclusions between the sheepskin mitt and the MF mitt is that the sheepskin would be better to use over all over the MF mitt. yes the MF mitt is higher quality in terms of materials and it has the capability to clean better. but when it comes down to regular use, the sheepskin wins hands down for me. it cleans just as good, if not the same, as the MF, its easier to clean and maintain, easier to use and hold on to, and more enjoyable to use in terms of keep ur car soaked and suddy during a wash.

. Most staining is merely discoloration from grease, oil or other petroleum types of residue left on the car. I do not classify them in the same category. I do not feel as hesitant in using a stained mit unless it is severe...maybe it\'s time to replace it. The sheepskin mit has natural oils in the fur thus giving you the lubricating gliding effect. It\'s amazing! The sheepskin mit is like a PASSION BOOSTER to the car washing experience.'
