Join Date: May 2004 Posts: 2 | RE: Amino UV Spam on Autopia, Please Read Dear Autopians,
Recently we have recieved several phone calls reguarding "Spam" on Autopia and claims made in this forum. Though we appreciate any customer calls, I was very displeased in the nature of these calls. I have personally read the postings in here, and was very surprised.
Amino UV recently became an advertising sponsor of the Autopia Forums, after recieving input from our customers. We were happy to do so, because we support the open arena provided. However, our only involvement with Autopia Forum is paid advertising. Should I find out that any employee of ours took it upon themselves to create posting, they will be delt with accordingly, as this is not a business practice I approve of.
As for our products, and to answer some additional questions:
All of our products are what we call "extreme performance products". We are very proud of them, and to date have had no complaints by any purchaser. In this forum, we did notice a few individuals whom I have personally spoken to, that have actually purchased and used our products. We make no claims to be exclusively better over another product. We have published in our F.A.Q.'s replies to comparisons asked by customer in reference to other popular brands.
I personally hope that those of you who decide to try Amino UV, love our products. And for those of you who did not care for the Spam and choose not to purchase our products for use. I can understand completely and hope that after a longer (positive) relationship with Autopia, that you may reconsider.
Lastly, whomever made the "Spamino Label". I actually enjoyed the humor in it. Not too shabby I might add. Would you like to join our design team on upcoming product developement? (Paid Position)
I appologize for the actions of others appearing to be on our behalf, and thank you for your time.

Could you tell me where the "Sun Coast Chronicle" is published? I saw the article in your "in the new section" and I was just wondering as a google search showed up nothing meaningful. Also, is the info about your company on dealflow.com accurate? Seems like you may need to update the information on that site as it says your company only has 3 employees. Thanks a lot and I'm looking forward to some good reviews of your product.

I prolly won't try it now unless I see some good reviews, or get offered a sample to try out myself first. There are ways to advertise a product, and the Spam posts definitly seem like paid Spam to me. It'll be a hard sell to convice some of us otherwise.
I guess your effort will put you above the products that claim to regrow your hairline, increase the length of your penis and clean up your credit report while protecting your cars finish from nuclear fallout, but the 12 previous and similar posts, all from new users seem to structured and too 'Marketing friendly' for me to believe they were just tossed out by some bored guy who liked your products....

Thanks for addressing this issue head-on.
When any member (a new member in particular) begins posting significant praise regarding a new product or vendor, it always raises some concerns from the community regarding the purpose of the posts. In this case, there are more than a dozen posts/threads in as many days with links back to the AUV website. It was bound to raise some suspicions and concerns. Vendors wanting this level of exposure can have it for a very small cost in the form of a private forum.
In general, the Autopia community is very accepting of new product. We need only look at CMA’s Blackfire, Meguiar’s NXT, and Autogeek’s Wolfgang Concours-Series to see just how well the forum works. When people try to force a new product into the mix, by unnatural means, the community tends to buck.
I’m sure this will work itself out.
David

Join Date: May 2004 Posts: 2 | Ben, Thank you for your questions. The Suncoast Chronicle is a newsletter magzine published in South FLorida within members or subscribers with a S. Fl. classic car show circuit. To my knowledge, I have only seen the magazine in two issues. We were approached by them at the Z-Hills Car Show here in FLorida.
Please look for a write up on our products (tentatively scheduled) for August Issue Car Magazines. Additionally we have agreed to Sponsor the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) 6th Annual Labor Day Car & Truck Show coming in Dayton, Ohio.
As for the number of employees, We currently employ (7) Full Time Employees, including myself and a few PT as well.
Thank you David, I support what Autopians are doing here and hope that Synergy is able to build a strong future with Autopia.

It may help you to gain a foothold here if you do some research on members that have written various product reviews, and offer to send them samples of your product. It would gain some much needed buyer confidence, since many of us already have sealants we like, and those that don't look to those members for which ones to buy.

i really dislike spammers too. and those guys really weren't bored autopians doing a unbiased review.
P.S.
AdvonSpaano UV TXN polymer resin teflon wax is the best wax ever. Better than zaino, better than NXT, better than WG, better than Klasse, and gives the slickest, wettest, need i say hottest shine EVER. (for the record im just kidding)
