NORWEX Glass Cleaning Towel

I had been using the orange (Magic Towel from CMA) MF glass towel for the longest time. I picked up new glass cleaning towels from AutoFiber and Detailer's Paradise. For me, these towels take glass cleaning to a new level. I have had ample opportunity to use both towels side by side and put them thru the paces. Both have been washed several times. There was a brief discussion of the glass cleaning towel from Auto Fiber (here) and several of us thought that towel was excellent.

Well, after trying Nick’s Canadian-made MF glass towel, I find I prefer it. I find the size is much better for me (large hands) and this towel has more bite to it - - it has a lo-pile where the Auto Fiber glass towel is like a smooth silk napkin. Both of these towels represent great glass cleaning options and they are the closest thing to single-pass, non-smearing glass towels I have used. There is virtually no moisture residue and the first pass appears to clean 90% of the build up on the glass. Greasy finger prints disappear in one pass.

I have been using the following glass cleaners with these towels: 1Grand, Stoners IG (excellent product), Eagle 1 and Sprayway. I am finding the best result with the Stoners and this new towel from Detailer’s Paradise.

So, Nick’s excellent glass cleaning towels gets the award ...it definitely has more "bite" and the larger size works better for me.

I’ll also bring this small MF “scrubbing” towel to your attention. I completely stumbled across this one and for me it’s a home run for cleaning buggy windshields. I think this little scrubber should be mandatory for people living in areas where there are lots of bugs to deal with.




I use this scrubber as follows: Toss it in my regular wash water and hit the windshield when I have a bug accumulation. With just one or two passes, all bug staining is gone which means I don’t have to go back and clean the windshield a second time after the car has been dried to rid the windshield of bug spots. This little scrubber is a great time saver for me. The material is coarse and I am not bold enough to try it on the paint but Nick’s instructions indicated that it can be used in that manner - - with care, of course.

I've got to try Stoners. I have tested One Grand's Glass Cleaner and am very satisfied..in the sun with NO smears! However, like you, I know of other well respected detailers around that swear by Stoners Glass Cleaner.

The Stoners product is "clearly" one of the best within its class. It ranks high on my list since it can be purchased at Wallyworld, Pepboyz, etc. for $3.

How do you think these new mfs would work with just plain water all of the time? If they perform remarkably then perhaps they can permanently eliminate the need for a glass cleaning solution in every situation. Sounds like I ought to replace the viper glass mf. I'll take a look at Detailer's Paradise

Bill, I can't answer about the water use w/MF...never tried it. The towels were all washed for the foto opp so maybe I'll give it a try
