Lake Country Seconds?

I was at a fair sized swap meet at Dunkirk, NY for the past two days. One of my wanderings brought me to a guy selling un-marked Lake Country 7.5 curved pads for $6 each and 6 for $30. They only had yellow and black, and there were no markings on the back of the pad with a name. Just some text I can't remember. There were some other, smaller pads with the Lake country name on them. I didn't buy them (I was smart and left my money with the wife), but maybe I should've gotten at lest one for picture purposes.

They also had a large selection of pads from a company called "Hi-Tech". At least that was the name on the sde of the large box. They came in a few colors based on cut and weren't dished like the LC ones I'm used to. They also were about 8" in diameter. They were going for $6 too. I saw a couple of vendors with those. Anyone hear of them before?

Are they knock-offs from Asia like the watches?

Scott,
Did you pick up a card from the guy or get personal info for ordering at a later time?

These could be the Hi-Tech pads

Those are the Hi-Tech pads I saw. I didn't grab a guy's card either. I felt kinda bad for leaving my wife at the booth by herself, so I thought I'd head back there.

Maybe the Lake Country pads were special orders (customized) that were never picked up by the customer. Or they could have been "blemished".
At $6.00 each, I probably would have picked up a couple just to try (if they looked/felt like the real deal). Getting his contact info would have been good, too, if they were legit.
But hey, I truly understand the wife thing. Mine tends to get a little upset when I leave her alone so I can drool over car care products.

Dave
