Smile Cheap stuff!

C'mon everybody! Lets hear some reviews about cheap stuff you use that works! Things like Armorall, Eagle One, etc.

I'll start off with Mothers Back to Black.

I got some yesterday and figured hey, I'll give it a shot. I applied it last nite, and it is getting very cold up here, so it didnt dry as fast as I had hoped due to that, so I closed up the shop and set up those big lights that throw off a lot of ehat, and it eventually dried, and I buffed it all out. It suprised me at first when I started putting some into my terrycloth, since it came pouring out of the bottle, very runny. But this morning when backed into the sunlight, wow! I applied it to the posts on either side of my liftgate. On the driver side, where I applied it last nite, it was much darker, and I could actually see myself in it (not like I can in the paint though ) On the other side, it was a horrible dull grey, like chalk almost. No reflection whatsoever. I'm gonna go and do the rest of the vehicle with it as soon as I post this!

Armour All Extreme Tire Shine, I use it only for one car I detail. The tires are firestones. The car is driven roughly 30,000 miles a year. So these 60,000 mile tires are changed once every two years. As for AA degrading the tires, I do not care, every 2 years they get new ones.

Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo - $10 a gallon, great quality, at a good price.

EF Hi-Intensity - $20 a gallon or so, I use it on every car I clean, wheels, tires, carpets.

Eagle One Wet QD - $3 for 19 oz? very good and available locally.

OG Show Off and OG Blitz - two very economical and great products.

The list goes on and on.....

I agree with Jason about the Gold Class wash, it is a great wash and for $10/gallon it is very tough to beat.

Viking Cotton Chenille wash mitts are great. You can find them for pretty cheap at your local AutoZone or WalMart.

Meguiars Final Inspection is a pretty good QD. And you can get it for around $20/gallon.

Clays

I like the Clay Magic the blue one. Cheap locally available nice container works well.

I hate the Mothers Clay. It smears easily and sticks to your hands too much. Clay magic is better.

Outlet malls for them IRR 100% cotton towels.

Big lots, and other stores for foam applicators, buckets, brushes storage bins etc. Love them cheap prices so I do not feel bad about throwing things out when they turn to junk.

I did find some Micro fiber towels at local Auto Parts store. Not bad 70/30 blend and $10 for 3. I bought all they had. 2 packages.

Bud light while detailing is also a personal preference to Heinenkin. The greenies just taste bad when they get hot from sitting around cause I forgot where I left it.

Eagle One QD is great. Cheap yet still does the job.

There's a few tire products that slip my mind that I use in a
pinch.

Plus Simple Green is amazing for engine work.

Throwing in a plug for Eagle QD. I have Pinnacle and EF qds, but I love reaching for my $3.95 Eagle as well.

Vinylex protectant $10.00

Stoners invisible glass $5.00

The Absorber drying towel $12.00

Liquied glass $20.00

I don't care for Mothers B to B , it's full of prtroleum solvents and silicone , Vinylex is a much better product.

And on and on.....

just a comment of mothers back to black:

the product does pretty well what its made for. thing is it washes off after the FIRST wash. or just over a period of 3-4 weeks of normal driving...

ive been using that B to B for a long time now but im about to try that Eagle One one, as suggested on CMA... forgot the name of the product at the moment. i also have 303 to use afterwards

Cool Meguiar's Extra Degreaser

Paid $5 for a large spray bottle and I've used it to clean up two engines with about enough left over to do one more. Check out the Before & After Photos for visual evidence.

Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo and Eagle One WET Wash and Eagle One WET Wipe 'n Shine are all very good... very reasonably priced products.

Eagle One WET polish/wax and Meguiar's Gold Class Wax are also quality products that leave a great shine and fills swirls. The durability is so-so...
