Stage 1 Detail DACP, SSR1, S&W, LC Pads,

Well, I decided to strip the car completely and try some of the new products I have and do a complete detail, been a while since I have done one. Car is in pretty good shape already.

The car was pretty clean already so I decied to just detail it with PB S&W. Great detail cleaner, left the surface nice and shiny. Removed with PB Ultra plush a great towel, alitle plusher and softer then the JT towels I have. I used some clay magic (blue) and some QEW mixed in spray bottle as lube and calyed just a few parts that needed.

Most of the car is in really good sahpe but I decided to use DACP, PC, and a LC yellow pad on the hood and trunk just to make sure they were really smooth and clean. The LC pads are very nice, I have been using some old CMA pads I had. The pad worked well and the DACP pretty much removed most anything and left the surface clean. There were some hazing but I could take those out later. Did the back forth and side to side motion until almost all gone.

Followed with PB SSR1, do not have SSR2. Used a LC Orange pad. I wanted alittle more bite then a white pad since I was not going to use anything stronger. Doubled coated the hood and trunk and single coated the rest of the car. SSR1 is great, left the surface very shiny and squeaky clean. Super easy to remove. Almost all marks were gone, only things left were little marring that I will finish with a cleaner and glaze. I don't think that you can ever get a car perfectly scratch free.

Here are some pics of the car now. Next up is stage 2 which will clean and glaze, then stage 3 sealant and wax. Stay tuned!!

Glaze then sealant? You must plan on using EX as your sealant.

Thanks. CCW wheels and Caravaggio spoilers. Yes, spend way too much time on corvetteforum.
