Blackfire: "Pop" goes the yellow.

This summer I bought the blackfire II complete kit, along with the menzerna polishes and pinnacle souveran. On my black car I tried it all out and found the result I liked best was to use the menzerna twins followed by souveran, with no need for BFII as an intermediate. At the time I had two black cars and used this procedure on both, relegating the blackfire to duty on my customers' cars (for whom durability is more important than shine). Blackfire does an impressive job of imitating carnauba shone but I was happier with the souveran. Fast forward to this winter. In late fall I purchased a yellow car - and proceded to use my Menzerna and Pinnacle on it, out of habit. This winter started so early and with such a bang that I never had time to put on a coat of synthetic, so I took the time this weekend to do so. The best synthetic in my quiver (in my opinion) was blackfire, so I did the full blackfire process on my yellow neon, using the PC for application and removal (not typical of me, I almost always prefer to remove by hand, but it was too cold to do that this weekend)

All I can say is WOW. Any issues I had with the blackfire on black (and I didn't really have any to speak of, other than I liked souveran better), were quickly abated when I finished the BFII process on my neon. The finish really "popped" in a way it hadn't with souveran (and probably shouldn't have - being that souveran is for darker cars anyways). Not only have I found a finish that I'm really happy with, but it happens to be a synthetic, and it happens to be on my daily driver. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this combination. Until now, I've never been happy enough with any synthetics, durability aside, that they were "acceptable" on the car I drive, but now, on the yellow car, BFII seems to have hit the spot.

Now, not only does my car have a great "pop" to the yellow finish, but 2 coats of blackfire ought to hold up in our seemingly weekly snowstorm episodes for at least a few months (and alot better than souveran paste). Come springtime, or a break in the wicked weather (yeah right...), I'm gonna try and top the blackfire with some pinnacle paste glaz to see if it gets any better (gotta order the paste glaz first).

Anyhow, just thought I'd make the suggestion to those of you who have a yellow car to give it a try, I am very happy with the results I got.

Well I have pictures of the car about an hour after the job was done - but it was covered in snow the second i backed it out of the garage, so they're pretty useless.

You'll have to take my word on this one.
