Here's the deal... everyone list your ONE favorite detailing product, and why you chose it. It can be a wax, polish, buffer, MF, toothbrush, soap, light or anything else used for detailing. The reason can be value, ease of use, shine, durability or anything else you can come up with (try and be creative).
Lets try and keep it to one product per person (ie don't list your favorite wax, polish, shampoo, etc), I know it might be hard to choose just one, but you'll have to put more thought into it, which will make this all the more interesting. I'm really in what some people will reply with (ie DavidB, NYD, Holly Marie... (yes there are more but those ones were the only ones that rhyme )). I hope that everyone who passes by this thread will add their response.
What's that product that you would never replace, or couldn't live without? Don't just list your favorite wax, put some thought into it, there are tons of products used for detailing, think about clay, towels, buffers, all that stuff.
So with that i'll start.
Product: Klasse All in One (AIO)
Reason: This was the first real autopian product I ever tried, and i've probably used it more than anything else I own. Yet, even after all those applications it still suprises me. It's never the finishing layer, but is probably the most important one. It's very easy to use and remove, and works incredibly well at everything it does. It's also super flexable, you can use it with or without a buffer, in the sun(did this yesterday) or in the shade, you can top it with a wax, a sealent or nothing at all. It truely is simply an amazing product. Out of all the other similiar products that do a similiar task, none of them come close in excelling in so many areas. I recomend anyone who hasn't tried it to give it a shot, it truely is an all in one winner.

My favorite product would be Autopia.
If Autopia wasn't here, I wouldn't have anything I have today.

Then i thought of DACP, but similar results can be obtained elsewhere. Then i got to thinking about vinyl/rubber dressings. The vinyl dressings i have used are Vinylex, 303, and Armor All. By far my favorite is..........VINYLEX!
I find the vinylex to be perfect for dash and tires. For the dash i apply, let sit about an hour, buff off excess, repeat. For the tires i do the same thing. If i want slightly more gloss then i do not buff as extensively. Unlike the other choices, vinylex offers me a variety of looks. Vinylex is also a great deal when purchased in a 3L bottle. As far as durability goes, i usually see matte black(if excess was buffed) tires for a couple of weeks - not bad for a water based dressing. Also claims UV protection.
On a durability sidenote, about a month ago i decided to apply all three dressings mentioned above to a hard CD case/holder which holds like 48 CD's or something like that. The surface was split into three sections. The first section was given a 303 treatment straight from the little sample wipes from 303. The second section was subjected to Armor All wipes received in a local paper ad. The third section was treated with Vinylex wipes complementary of CarCareOnline. All three dressings were allowed to soak in for about an hour before excess was buffed. This was repeated three times. When completely buffed, all three products looked pretty similar(most likely due to the surface). I initially planned to set the CD case outside in the sun for a period of several weeks, but the novelty of this idea died fast. It has been sitting in my bedroom for about a month. The Armor All section in the middle is almost completely back to normal with a few blotchy spots. The 303 on the left isn't much better. The blotchiness(sorry my description sucks, but no digicam ) covers about 40% of the section. The vinylex section is 80-90% of what it was a month ago. It is only mildly blotchy around the corners. These are only observations. Draw your own conclusions. The results tell me that the Vinylex is easily the most durable, but i suppose there could be some factor i am overlooking.
To sum everything up, Vinylex is my favorite product because it stands out from the rest. I have found it to be versatile, cheap, and durable. It looks great too! Happy Detailing.

Reason: it has changed the way I wash cars. Saves water and cleans the car as well as a regular car shampoo wash. Can wash car in garage anytime, day or night-hot or cold. Cuts down wash times. Cuts down drying time, leaving extra time to apply a layer of wax after each wash.
I like the way you can start and finish a panel or section of your car and move on to the next one.
Very efficiant...

P.s. the comment about AUTOPIA being the best product hits close to home.

Reason: I am pleased with the versatility of the product. I let a friend of mine use some diluted 50% and it's still effective in getting rid of brake dust. I am also ecstatic with the results I get full strength when cleaning wheels and tires.

Reason: This is an amazing product, due to the fact that it is a unique product. As an autopian, I want my car looking perfect every minute, not just after washes. I have been known to wash my car at least 3 times a week. Usually getting up 20 minutes earlier. Well with Spray & Wipe, I can do my car in 10 minutes. I actually haven't washed my car in two weeks just S&W every few days. Of course I would follow up with a QD. Now someone posts a tip that adding a mixture of QD (from 30-50%) to S&W that you can do both at the same time. After some experimenting, I have found this is true, clean and glossy in one pass. | |

Last week in Carlilse...90+ degree and we were demonstrating on a black truck all day in the sun...steam coming off and no streaks....heard the same story from a customer who won at Englishtown yesterday, with another black truck...
And yes Thomas ...I tried the combo and have instucted the chemist to do some experimenting with the QD+/S & W
