Ok I'm going to detail my 04 Dodge Ram 2500 and could use some recommendations on pads & products.
Car is a Daily Driver, Outside 24/7 in SoCal, fallout, marring, and 5-6 good RIDS, headlights are hazing, has some good oxidation on the front bumper under the headlights. I want it to sparkle, with a deep glazed, wet look, plus have good protection all the way around as I'm not looking to do a full detail on it more than twice a year.
Here is what I'm thinking from what I've read:
Wash, Clay, Wash
3D HD D/A Polisher, megs =W67DA & B&S 5" D/A Pads
1A) Heavy Correction -Megs 105 / Yellow Pad or Black Wool pad OR Megs MF (depending on how bad paint is)
1B) Correction -Megs 105 / Orange Pad
2) Heavy Polish -HD polish OR Megs 105 / White pad ???
3) Finish Polish -Megs 205 / Green Pad
4) Galze -3m perfect -it glaze (Galze/Jewel Product) / Black Pad
5) Sealant -Poxy or BFWD or Wet Glaze 2.0 / Red Pad
6) Carnuba -Colinite 845 or Megs #26 or CG 50/50 / Red Pad
on the chrome: clay, 105/205 by hand OR mothers mag & alum polish by hand, BFWD Metal Sealant
Any recommendations/suggestions on product, steps, pads, etc...would be great.
Here are some pics of the car:

Look into the Autoscrub 6" Pad for your HD Polisher or Nanoskin Towel. In either Medium or Fine Grade depending on the condition

CADetailer- Welcome to Autopia!
I've never worked on that paint, but I'd recommend the following:
1A)M105/MF cutting disk
1B)M105/Orange
2)HD Uno or Polish/polishing pad
3)HD Polish/finishing pad
Note I didn't use pad colors for the last two steps as they vary between brands. You might not need that third/final polishing step.
Have *LOTS* of pads for the M105 work or you'd be spending forever cleaning pads throughout the job.
NO glaze before a sealant; you won't need it anyhow.
I'd just LSP with FK1000P and be done with it. Do a second/third coat after each of the next few washes and then just wash it for months.
I sure wouldn't do any kind of wax topper on top of the sealant.
Be careful what you use on the chrome! Even M205 can be a little aggressive. After you clean it up, I'd just LSP it with FK1000P.
Those wheels would drive me nuts, I'd do them *once* with OptiCoat and then just wash 'em for a few years. One could argue for just doing the whole vehicle that way!The most interesting man in all of Autopia Land. (<--I didn't enter that!)

Hey Bret,
Bad *** truck!
Keep it simple, bud.
You're gonna need to start with a compound, I guarantee you that.
Do a test spot, start with a B&S yellow pad/M105. If that doesn't cut it, step up to Meg's MF cutting disc/M105. Do not use a wool pad with a DA(only rotary).
Next, follow with HD Polish or M205 and a B&S green pad.
I'd skip the glaze, not needed, unless you really want to.
LSP, go for BFWD or Poxy.
CG 50/50 to top.
On the chrome, Collonite Metal Wax.

Thanks Accumulator & SSlizzlin, that takes a little of the mystery out of how I need to proceed on this vehicle.
