3m edge pads

ok so im a big fan of 3m. was taught how to detail with 3m, was certified through 3m. so i dont want to stray away and jump over to megs and lc pads (even though i see great results). i get the results im looking for outta 3m. i was doing a detail alst night and realized i really need to add some smaller pads to my cabinet. i was searchin through 3m's site and saw The edge line of pads. now i remember reading somewhere edge was their own company then got bought out by 3m.

who can tell me about these pasds. any good? how well do they work with 3m's perfect it line?

also does 3m make anything small than a 6 in other than the 3 in?

Re: 3m edge pads

well for starters 3M also owns Meguairs as well. So you wouldn't be "Jumping" anything so to speak.

I love the edge pads. Double sided, perfectly centeres, great cuts and finishes, Their foam pads tend to tear up rather quickly but all in all a great system. There are rumors that 3M is going to phase them out though. So if you're just starting on the system you might want to get a few back ups in mind in case they do.

They definitely are not phasing the edge system out. They just implemented that system on all of their 3M pads including the Ultrafina light blue pad. I'd say it is here to stay.

I sure hope they don't go nuts with the sizes, 3m has always loved UFO sized pads.
