I don't put much stock in LSPs and what they actually do for the finish. I reach for the easiest one to use and that's about it.

I've seen it with AJ, AJT, and even with AG. It looks almost like super fine scratches, like a thousand parallel spiderweb threads, but you can buff it off with a quick detailer. It's only visible in certain light and on darker colors. I've found that it doesn't happen as much if I buff way after I appears to be dry and on surfaces that have a couple of layers and are fairly slick. It never happens with Prime. It probably only happens once every 10-20 applications, but it just pisses me off...

Both SV Concorso and Supernatural are OUTSTANDING waxes and I am sure you won't be disappointed with them but my favorite LSP is Zaino Z2p and Z5p on dark colors.

OK, noting that I usually *do* see differences between most LSPs, and so does my wife ("did you put something different on my car? It looks different..")...

If you don't see a difference, then I'd quit thinking about it and I'd sure quit spending money chasing it. Simple as that. Go with that "reasoning side" of you.

If there's something *deficient* about the appearance, then sort that, and only that, out. And if that's the case, IMO it's almost certainly a matter of prep.

Rob Tomlin- Yeah, it worked out great that my pal couldn't remember what I used, never having heard of "476S" before, everybody commenting on the car had an opinion and none of 'em were remotely close.

Re: LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!

I can tell a difference between a few different lsp;'s. For example UPP really looks good on medium to light metallics, even moreso than my fav Z2p does.

I dont use a lsp for its looks though. I use it for how it applys, how it removes, how it feels when my microfiber is wiping down the paint. I use what i use cause it wont stain trim, it lasts a good amount of time, it looks pretty much exactly the same 3 months later as the day i put it on. I will reach for something because i remember how it smelled and miss it. Or how slick something is. Maybe i miss using a QD that compliments it well. Ect ect.

Any of these could make me use a different lsp that day. But i hardly ever reach for something because i think it makes it look a certain way.

Re: LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!

I have different reasons for using different LSPs on various vehicles, looks being one of them. IIRC I currently have different stuff on all of my vehicles, each one specifically chosen for some reason that's specific to that application.

Re: LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!

Have you tried a side by side by side by side by side comparison on a single panel? Using natural light and inspecting how it (the Sun) reflects off the paint and looking at object reflections, you can typically discern the minor differences, especially if you have very flaky or especially dark paint. It's easier if your LSPs are fairly different, rather than somewhat similar as I would consider most of your 5 samples. If you can't see differences then, well...I'd trust your gut and save the money. Otherwise, you're just seeing through wallet goggles, which I'm sure we all have suffered from at some point or another.

Re: LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!

I do see a difference, particularly between something like Souveran and a sealant like UPGP or FK1000P. I like how all of them look, but I prefer the look Souveran gives. I find it much wetter and deeper on my jet black car. And I prefer that look.

Now, do I hardly ever use Souveran? No. I have some but I've only used it once on my black car. The reason? I much prefer the way 1000P protects from water spotting and how easy it makes it to wash the car. I don't really want to screw up that dynamic by topping it with Souveran. Maybe once spring gets here, I'll change things up and start using Souveran again, who knows?

So yeah, like others have said, whether or not you see a difference, there are many other factors that can sway you to one LSP or another.
