Re: LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!
I too cannot really tell the difference between waxes. Waxes and sealants, yes. This is why when I look at a wax I look for durability over any sort of "superior depth and shine" or whatever.

It's funny that we agree that there is not much difference between LSP's, yet you see MUCH more discussion on this forum comparing LSP's than you do polishes. There are much bigger differences between polishes than LSP's, generally speaking.

The differences are most noticable on dark colors but then again some people have an uncanny ability to see differences with the same product sold under different labels.

IMO, most people, and possibly the OP, tend to place their focus on only one aspect of the end result and that is the reflectiveness of the surface. If you truly can't see the differences, open up your mind and look for things like warmth, depth, wetness, metal flake, water beading, and so on.

Re: LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!
most the differences can be seen on darker color cars.
As stated earlier . . . . prep is key. Your LSP will shine on a properly prepped vehicle.
I have a buddy who loves Swissvax. He has tried them all and has put them all through the test LoL.
Waxes his car at least every few days if not at least once a week. The waxes you have tried are all really great waxes though and should provide a bit of distinguishing looks between them.

i agree....all this BS about different waxes and what not. one has "depth"....the other has "warmth"......whatever.....how is freakin paint gonna look warm anyways, come one!
i focus on durability......everything else is way over-rated lol. point being....you could prob be detailing some rich guys ferrari.....and tell him you used a $400 can of wax on it, but realy use NXT, and he, nor will anyone else...tell the difference.

On someone else's car, yeah, I couldn't tell you what wax was used, but I can see big difference on my own car. For example, NXT looks horrible, it sits on top of the paint and looks like someone put saran wrap on the car. On the other hand OCW makes the paint look drippy wet.
If you don't want to blow a lot of $, a fun experiment is #16 and #26. You will pretty easily notice the difference on light or dark cars.

Re: LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!
I have found that some LSPs have a particular characteristic about them that is especially nice. For some, it's a specific look (e.g., Zaino, Klasse, Werkstat), for some its abnormal durability (e.g., Collinite, Zaino), and for some its slickness (Blackfire), water beading (Collinite), etc.
For me, durability is nice, slickness and water beading are preferable, but most important is something that can be used easily and reliably gives a good finish. There are a lot of products out there that are easy to use, but don't necessarily give a reliable finish. I've found this to be true recently with one of the LSPs I use a good bit. There's nothing more disheartening than working all day on a car and having a streaky LSP ruin the whole thing. I have totally written off Collinite pastes because of a couple of horrible wax hologram problems. Werkstat is really pissing me off too with the super fine streaking that it can do in certain conditions. I'm experimenting with Blackfire right now, which seems to be very reliable. I haven't abandoned Werkstat yet...

Why not just save yourself some money and get something that holds up like this. This is probaly one of the best waxes in the world!
