Re: anyone tried megs last touch as a rinseless wash ?

There was a thread on here about this about a year ago and people were arguing both directions, some said it was fine others said it would lead to swirling. No real agreement was reached.

For me personally, I could could probalby use Last Touch since my clear coat does not marr very easily. If I owned a car which was not as resistant to marring as my car, I probably could not use Last Touch and would probably have to use one of the numerous rinseless wash products popping up from Chemical Guys, Adam's, Groit's, HD or an old standby like Poorboys Spray and Wipe.

I use it as a drying aid as it is very slick, but I wouldn't trust it for a rinseless wash.

Years ago when I worked for a Limo company we use to spray a panel with a qd, then sponge it down with some water and towel dry. Our Limos always looked great.

I wouldn't bother because 1) I'm very happy with my ONR and 2) Oddly, LT streaks on my paint. I use it as a clay lube 1:1 but that's about it.

Mark Kleis did a whole write up and video about it, he got pretty good results from it. I've personally never done it but I don't have a clear coat so I wouldn't be able to see marring as clearly/easily as a CCed car would.

ONR is so good at what it does, why bother?

Last Touch method would be way cheaper.

How do you figure? A gallon of Last Touch on AG costs $19. The dilution ratio for Last Touch as a clay lube I think is 1:1. So figure a gallon of Last Touch clay lube costs $9.50.

A gallon of ONR on AG costs $40. The dillution ratio for ONR as clay lube is I believe 64:1 (or two ounces per gallon per AG's website). So figure a gallon of ONR clay lube costs $1.25.

On a per use basis, neither is very expensive but Last Touch for clay lube is about 7.5 times more expensive than ONR as clay lube.
