M66 vs D151

I really like M66, two things I really like are the filling ability and the strong chemical cleaners. Does D151 just use a different abrasive package? I have looked here and on MOL and no one seems to have the definative answer.

Re: M66 vs D151

So I got my sample of 151 from ADS. I think the chemical cleaning power is about the same as #66. There are much less fillers. #66 is very oil rich and looks great on trashed (beyond polishing) paint. 151 is a stronger abrasive polish. Both are very good product for different applications. I think #66 makes crappy paint look better with less work, however, the results wash away.

Re: M66 vs D151

Yakky- D151 is a great product to have, works wonders and has given me great results. As I have found with the economic downturn paint correction and the abundancy of high price jobs are not as pleantiful, this is where D151 works great for me. First you have to get passed the fact that it is not as perfect as a mutli-step polish paint correction. But it's an economical solution for light scratch removal and polish all in one for the customer that used to pay big money but doesn't have the luxury to do so anymore. Alot of my clients who have come to me asking for a more economical approach to paint correction have been pleasantly surprised with D151 and so have I. Good luck with this product it is awesome.

Re: M66 vs D151

M66 uses traditional diminishing abrasives and D151 uses the new "SMAT" abrasives similar to those in M105/M205.

M66 is very user friendly, but D151 will cut a little better.

Re: M66 vs D151

I used d-151 on sunday on a 2008 Lincoln MKS with moderate swirls and was very impressed with what was accomplished with a one step polish, I know there are some fillers in it but it looked great for a one stepper. I do not have any pics because it was almost dark when I finished. I used a PC and a 4 inch orange edge pad and was very happy and so was my mother in law when I finished, this is a good product in my limited experience.
