liquid steel?

So has anyone else seen the commercial for this new stuff liquid steel (not sure how they can use that name since it's already in use for other products in the hardware store). I was wondering if anyone else had seen it and if anyone has taken the plunge to buy some. It's claims seem a little ridiculous, but also at the same time it doesn't claim much. Just go to the website and you will see what I mean.

So anyway, like I said it's a little outlandish that you can get 3 years of protection from just 1 application, but at the same time it doesn't say anything about how it makes your finish look, or if it makes it glossy or anything.

Either way it's all for $10 plus S+H, BUT if you buy now they will double your order.

Anyway, if anyone does purchase this stuff please let us know as I am interested to find out more about it, but have no clue about the stuff from the website, because there is not even a single testimonial or anything.

I have no intention of purchasing or using said product but the following claim it likely not too outlandish...

I agree your first post. Try it out and give us a review. Be sure to do the fire test on the hood. Just kiddin don't try the fire test.

I generally don't trust anything I see in an infomercial

, and the claim that it makes my car "virtually indestructible" is just too much. No thanks!

Sorry guys I promise this is not spam. I was just interested to see if anyone else had run across the commercials. I don't trust anything that gives me such little details and cost only $10 AND THEY'LL double the order. But l just might give in and purchase some for the fun of it and try it out (on an old hood or something, because I wouldn't use something so vague on my personal vehicle, without testing). If I decide to splurge and spend the $18, I'll let ya know what I think of the stuff.

I actually tested the product for the company. They gave me product to test about 6 weeks ago.

The first car was a late model, black Yukon. I clayed the car and polished out the scratches with a high speed polisher. Then applied the Liquid Steel with a P/C polisher. It actually looked very nice. It was easy to use, no dust and buffed very easily. It created a very nice, brightt shine. Not deep, but bright. This was a dealer car, so I won't be able to test longevity.

The second car was a Dark Grey Metallic Ferrari 612. The car had hologram type swirls in it. Someone had done a job on the car and I was called to fix it. So, I did the usual prep steps, then buffed it out. I wiped it down with alcohol to make sure all the swirls were eliminated, then applied the Liquid Steel by hand.

I applied it to the whole car (even the glass) and then removed it with a micro-fiber. Went on and came off easily. No dust and left a bright shine. It made the metallic paint pop. Again, not a deep shine, but a bright shine.

I haven't seen the commercial on TV yet. But, you guys say it is $10 for two bottles? What size bottles? I would easily compare it with a high end product line for the ease of use and results. For that price, it might be worth it???

I haven't done used the product since. Just gave my opinion on those two cars to the marketing company that gave me the samples.

You used it though on a ferari? That would have scared the living daylights out of me, not knowing what's in the stuff. As for the size of the bottles once again it's extremely vague and doesn't even tell you on the website, however there is a way to contact them, so I'm sure I could get the info. I might just order some for the fun of it and try it out, to add to my collection of piled up waxes/polishes. If I purchase some I will make sure to let everyone know my opinion.

oh yeah also Demon Detailer, did you happen to squirt the 612 with some lighter fluid and light it on fire to see if it cause any damage to the paint?
