Re: Are you on or off the paste wax bangwagon?

After using sealant, is it okay to use cleaner wax to give more gloss?

The cleaner wax will clean the sealant off. I'd say do sealant as your LSP instead of cleaner wax, but I am pretty new to detailing.(about a year)

Yeah, cleaner-waxes and sealants are pretty much an either/or proposition.

I thought that sealants work as an LSP over wax? Read in a thread somewhere that because the sealant won't bond to wax, that all you basically would be doing is wiping off the sealant you just put on the wax.

Generally incorrect. It's the other way around (wax over sealant).

Re: Are you on or off the paste wax bangwagon?

I need to correct my statement above that I prefer paste waxes. This is true for my black S2000, but for my wife's silver blue CR-V, I prefer UPGP--I love the wipe-on/walk-away feature.

I assume 1000p counts?

Not sure about a paste was "bandwagon" though.

Re: Are you on or off the paste wax bangwagon?

I love my paste waxes. I dont see a point in having liquid waxes at all though. For easy I application and speed I use sealants. And all my waxes are paste waxes.
