Migliore?
Is this brand any good? I've never heard of them until someone brought them up on another thread, and I didn't want to digress there, so I think this should have it's own thread.
I went to their website and was surprised to see that they don't even make a car wash, so I guess I would try their QD if it was any good, but I'd like to hear some feedback.

Re: Migliore?
Migliore is awsesome! Donnie is an awesome guy and will help you out with anything you need or have questions on. I am not sure if he plans on doing a car wash. They are great waxes if you take the time with them. A few people try it once and don't like it b/c its not what they are use to. If you take a few minutes with it and learn about it you won't be disappointed. I don't think it gets the recognition it should here.
This is a great post that really explains it...

I tried this wax out on my car a about a week ago when it was still pretty cold outside. It took quite a long time to cure (I did a swipe test roughly every 5 minutes), but in the end, curing time was about 25 minutes +/-. The first time I removed it was relatively easy and just for testing purposes, I did half of my hood with Migliore Primo and the other half with Swissvax Concorso. It wasn't as easy to remove as the SW, but then again, not as greasy. After removing it, I swiped the MF across both halves of the hood and I could feel a huge difference between the 2 waxes. The SW had a nice, slick feel to it but the Migliore... well I could actually feel that there was wax on the car and I like that. After swiping my MF across the hood enjoying the feel of Migliore, I broke out the garden hose and started spraying to test the sheeting. I got hypnotized by the beads and wound up spraying my car for a good 5 minutes, enjoying that too . Every time I sprayed it the Migliore side was almost completely dry, while the SW side left little patches of beads all over it. I sprayed it from several different angles just to be fair and the results were the same every time. Very nice sheeting action, very nice.
Now that the weather's finally warm here, I decided to give it another test run. Applying it this time was much easier than before and I'll attribute that to the temperature. This is a very solid wax; almost like rubbing an applicator on a soft candle... kind of like Colly 885, but this wax smells MUCH nicer . It's got a very pleasant, natural orange scent to it... nice touch. It went easy, though not as easy as most. It's got more of a "silky" feel to it, rather than "greasy". After letting it cure for about 25-30 minutes (the manufacturer says remove after 10 min.), I did the swipe test, but it was still a bit tacky. I then started to remove it with a MF and in some places it was grabby, but in others came off quite easily, but not as easily as most boutique waxes. I stopped removing it after a few swipes because it really didn't feel like it was cured yet. I don't know if you've ever seen a 599 GTB in person or not, but it's a WIDE automoble. I'm 6' tall and when leaning over it at about a 45 degree angle, my fingers barely touch the middle. When I applied the wax to the hood, I literally swiped the applicator (and really, just a quick swipe across the wax) 3 times to wax the hood, and it seems that I applied WAY too much! Then, I grabbed the Maki, put on a finishing pad, misted the car lightly with water and began to spread the wax more evenly. 10 minutes later it was easier to remove, but again, not the easiest wax I've ever removed (I'll point the finger at the weather for the easier removal the first time). It was still a bit grabby, but that's not really a bad thing.
Despite being a bit difficult to remove (I will be giving this wax another go shortly), IMO this is an excellent wax. Again, it's a wax that you can literally feel on the paint; kind of like wearing a Breitling... you KNOW it's there. If I get the chance to spit-shine a car again, this will be my wax of choice because it's just got that spit-shine wax feel to it. I can't comment on durability, but by the way this wax feels on the car, I'm going to guess it'll outlast most of the nubas I have.
If you're one of those people that expects your wax to go on like butter and come off like nothing was there, this is not the wax for you. I figured I'd make that disclaimer because I've seen it happen too many times where people go out and buy waxes based on something they've heard, then they get the wax home, don't read the instructions, can't apply or remove it easily, then they hate the wax and talk crap about it. This wax will require a little more effort to apply and remove, but that little extra effort is well worth it. Also, it's one of those "polish after removal to bring out the shine" waxes. It leaves a bit of residue on the paint (well, at least on this dark chocolate color), so it should be buffed afterward. I know the shine and look of a wax all boils down to the polish, but this wax gave an awesome finish and I really believe it added a lot more wetness to the paint.
Migliore Primo is most certainly different than any wax I've used so far, and I've used a lot of them.

So I picked up a sample from Don weeks ago to give it a try. Had seen quite a few good reviews on this site and my research on the web showed complete satisfaction with the products.
Let me be the first to say I'm always very skeptical and hesitant about products that aren't sold mainstream and are sold by independent "distributors". I tend to stick to professional detailing products like the Menzerna line, Pinnacle, Chemical Guys, etc. Products like this a industry proven to provide excellent results.
Well... Migliore's has changed my perception of products like this. I'll always hold judgement and have more respect for the smaller exclusive guys until I have tried their products.
First Impression After Opening Migliore's Original (10 out of 10)
Pleasantly surprised. The wax is much different than your typical carnuba wax. I'm was so amazed at the percentage of wax and oils that appear to be packed into this product. Not to mention, that it smells great. A perfect citrus smell that is quite addicting.
Application on Migliore's Original (9 out of 10)
Prior to applying the Migliore's the car was of course cleaned and prepped for a sealant and wax. I started off using my Menzerna FMJ which I've always been pleased with. It provides excellent durability and in my opinion provides a nice base for a topping with a Carnuba wax. In the past, I've normally used Poorboys Natty's Blue on top of the Menzerna FMJ.
Application of the product was a breeze. When applying with a microfiber pad, it was very easy to get a smooth and consistent layer of Migliore's on the car. The product is very smooth as well. A nice thin layer is all you need with this stuff and due to all the oils, it makes it especially easy to do. The last thing you want to do when applying a wax is to apply too much or have an uneven application.
Removal of Migliore's Original (8 out of 10)
Removal of the Migliore’s was on par with other fine waxes I’ve used. For me, after a first pass of removal with a microfiber, I did not some oily residue left, however, with another pass with a clean microfiber the residue was easily removed. I did notice that if I let it dry a bit longer that it was easier to remove. I also pulled my G37 out into the driveway where it was a bit warmer and still not in direct sunlight and removal was significantly improved. I guess it’s something you gotta try with waxes. The wax did not produce any dust or flakes of excess wax. Very smooth removal.
Final Impression After Using Migliore’s Original (9 out of 10)
AN OUTSTANDING PRODUCT! I’m very pleased with the Migliore’s Original. As mentioned above, application of the product was a breeze and removal was consistent with other fine waxes. The wax produced a nice dark and wet look to my G37. I’m very picky about waxes used on black cars… some fine waxes are overly shiny. I prefer a nice dark, deep, wet look, which was easily accomplished with the Migliore.
I will use Migliore’s again and would gladly recommend the product to others. It is consistent with other fine carnuba waxes and very competively priced. The guys at Migliores have a winner with this one for sure. I can’t wait to try the Primo Blend soon.

If your are looking for a trim dressing that is extremely easy to apply, doesn't take a whole lot, and doesn't leave a really "wet" look, then this is a product to consider. This product leaves the trim and plastic clean and crisp with a light gloss finish.
How do you apply it? Simply spray it on and wipe it through with a cloth. If you want it to be a little darker, wait a few minutes and do it again. It doesn't take a whole lot to get the job done.
What happens if it gets on my paint, glass, chrome, etc? You might see a little smear, but getting it off is a breeze. You can wipe it straight off with a microfiber or use a little quick detailer and then wipe it off.
Does it have any cleaning ability as well? Yes, as a matter of fact, it does. Not a whole lot, but it does. In the following pictures, I did NOT clean the trim or plastic beforehand. You will be able to see the difference in some of the pictures.
Could it be compared to other products? Another product along the same lines is the Poorboy's Trim Restorer. Poorboy's made an excellent product for the trim. I think that the Poorboy's TR has more "restoring" capabilities than Migliore. Migliore leaves a nicer finish in my opinion. Back-To-Black by Mother's is also a product along the lines of "restoring". It's similar to the Poorboy's Trim Restore but I think the Poorboy's TR is a lot easier to apply and has a better outcome than Mothers BTB. Out of the 3 products Migliore is the easiest to apply due to being in a spray bottle and doesn't take much rubbing to get it into the surface.
Alright Mike, you're talking to much...So what's the outcome? The outcome is great. Take a look for yourself:
Remember in these pictures, I did NOT clean beforehand...

At some point when i have money i will get a buffer and give it the treatment.
The wax was just like all the reviews, Smells great. It applied smooth and easy. Like others have said, it takes a few passes to get it off, i followed up with some quick detailer to finish it off.
I was very pleased, it was dark but i still set up some reflection shots.

Ill try to get some more in the morning!
Thank you Migliore you have another happy customer:biggrin:

Nice wax, but not the easiest to apply and remove. I do like their trim protectant.

Same here. The Frutta Wax has a really nice, deep glow but it isn't particularly user friendly.

Re: Migliore?
My brother has been obsessed with that brand since he saw a post about the Primo on his truck forum.
I don't care to spend that kind of money on some paste... But I would like a first hand experience with it.

Re: Migliore?
No this wax is not the easiest to apply and remove, that's for sure. The reason being is that it's not full of ingredients that make it "faster and easier" like most of the other waxes that we're accustomed to.
This is one of the most natural waxes I've seen to date and that's why I love it. You have to use it a few times and application/removal becomes much easier. The extra effort, if you'd like to classify it as an "effort", that Primo needs during application and removal is IMO a meager price to pay for the end result and sheeting that this wax gives...
Guys if you want a quick and easy job, there's a 1,000 sluts out there that will
accommodate you. If you want something that's well worth the wait and effort, like a good woman, than this is your wax. I mean really, if you've taken the time to detail the entire car, why not take the time to wax it properly with a proper wax?

Re: Migliore?
LMAO I like your last statement hahaha
I may have to do some research on this stuff, I like the look of the tire dressing. The trip pieces may be a little too glossy for me. Apollo, have you used Zymol Concours? If so how does the sheeting compare? I love the way Concours sheets and have a hard time finding another wax that works that well. Thanks.

Hi Jay, sorry a little late with the response . I don't have Z Concours, but I do have Vintage. They're night and day IMO. Vintage sheets in little tiny balls, but Migliore just sheets off. Side by side, Migliore leaves less water on the hood in a sheeting contest with almost any wax of mine. Sheeting is just different with this wax .
