Yes! Also it stays cleaner longer.

Oh yes, that's what I love about it! And why I was so determined to learn how to apply it without having to chisel if off! It really does a great job of keeping anything from sticking.

I don't believe so, no. High or low viscosity doesn't necessarily have any correlation to the amount or type of solvents used.

My Vintage is a solid wax, and it has a *huge* amount of (Zymol loves this part...) "Natural" solvents in it. I have used Vintage to remove old, dried on IW and even 476. Vintage is also a great bug and tar remover. Tad expensive, though. Vintage has to have a ton of high powered (albeit "natural" ) solvents in it to keep it's high amount of carnauba from turning rock solid.

Moral of the story: you can't judge solvent content or harshness based on the viscosity of the product.

I agree with your statement except what if you compare same products different viscosity say for example NXT 2.0 liquid vs. paste, wouldn't the paste have less solvents? I've read in quite a few posts that s476 is more durable than IW845 just because it's a paste. Not sure it that would hold true, may be different formulas altogether. The point is to compare the same products in different states (liquid vs paste).

Re: In praise of FK1000P

i like to use my pc to apply it, i feel it works into the paint better, just my personal thing. besides a 4" blue pad fits in the tin perfectly, as has been said already very thin even coats and let cure no more than ten min. will work just fine it really is a great product.

I always wonder if it really *is* the same product in both forms As in, at what point do those "little" differences amount to a whole 'nother product?

Besides the NXT, IMO Meg's #26 paste/liquid might make for an interesting comparison.
