IMO it depends what you're trying to accomplish with the foamgun. I don't *want* a lot of thick, clingy foam; that's not how I use my foamguns.
I mix up a gallon of concentrate using 5-6 ounces of Griot's Car Wash (will try the Optimum Shampoo some times..) and the rest water. I fill the foamguns from that and use mixture settings around the middle of the mixing-bar.
Note that's stronger than what I used to use.
No, it doesn't make clinging foam that will sit on the vehicle for a few minutes, but it's perfect for the constant flushing and lubrication that I use the foamguns for.
